Swanson Shows Poise in Early Season, Wins First-Career Pole Award at Stafford

Acton, MA (May 4, 2021): On Friday night, April 30, Matt Swanson of Acton, MA, earned his first career NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour pole award during qualifying for the prestigious Spring Sizzler.  Swanson, driver of the famed Ole Blue for Mike Boehler Racing Enterprises of E. Freetown, MA, turned a lap of 18.008 seconds, nearly eclipsing an average speed of 100 (99.956) mph, to earn the Mayhew Tools Dominator Pole Award. (more…)

John Beatty Jr. Tops Opening Night Modified Feature At Riverhead Raceway Saturday

The gates swung open Saturday evening for the 71st season of stock car racing at Riverhead Raceway and when the checker flag waved on the 50-lap Buzz Chew Chevrolet NASCAR Modified feature John Beatty Jr. of Merrick sat in the winner circle after surviving a late race restart with 11 laps remaining in the race to post his 9th career victory. A solid and talented field of 20 Buzz Chew Chevrolet NASCAR Modifieds signed in for the Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series opener. (more…)

Richmond Raceway has been known by several different names and has been reconfigured several times over the years of its existence, but all the while it has been a staple on the NASCAR Cup Series schedule since 1953. Track Talk – Savary To Take On Thompson Speedway’s Outlaw Modified Race This Weekend; Other Notes
Richard Savary of Canton plans to take in the Outlaw Modified race this Saturday, 4/11/21 at the 5/8-mile Thompson Speedway in CT which will open the 2021 racing season.  He originally planned to only race in the Tri Track Open Modified Series which is comprised of just six events this season.
