In the headline 20-lap INEX Legend Race Car event, defending champion Riely O’Keefe of Manorville notched his second win in just over two weeks wheeling the Jim Sylvester owned entry.

Officials from VIR and HSR announced today that the HSR NASCAR Classic presented by Goodyear Celebration will be among the featured races at the HSR VIR Historics, September 5-7, on the 3.27-mile Southern Virginia road course.
Rain Halts Riverhead Raceway Sunday Action

The final weekend of July was to be a doubleheader at Riverhead Raceway, led by the Advance Auto Parts Night at the Races Saturday night followed the make-up of the June 7th program Sunday afternoon. However, mother nature had other ideas with a weather system moving over Long Island late Saturday into Sunday forcing track management to postpone Sunday action.

Owen Grennan of Glen Cove, a schoolteacher by day doesn’t return to work in the East Meadow school district for a few weeks, however Saturday night at Riverhead Raceway he taught his fellow NASCAR Modified competitors a lesson when he won the 50-lap Advance Auto Parts Night feature. Connor Zillisch won the Xfinity race while Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT came in 23rd.
Across town at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, the Craftsman Truck race was won Layne Riggs with Gio Ruggiero of Seekonk, MA having a tough day and ending up 28th.
Over on the west coast at Monterey, CA it was another Indycar win for Spain’s Alex Palou while Santino Ferrucci of Woodbury, CT had an off day and finished 22nd

The race celebrates the life of longtime Bill Park team member Bob “Bubba” Patanjo, a revered member of the Riverhead racing family who passed away suddenly in October 0f 2019.
