Sheehan Looks for Strong Autumn Finish at VIR
Bow, NEW HAMPSHIRE – October 6, 2022 – Having finished in P8 at the popular venue in 2019 and notched his 100th start in Trans Am in 2020 when he finished in P7 in the Heacock Gold Cup, New Hampshire’s Tom Sheehan has good memories of Virginia International Raceway. 2022 has so far been less kind to the evergreen “Ironman” of muscle car racing and a mechanical issue late in the race at Watkins Glen cost him several places and typified Tom’s luck this season.

Pedersen, Lawrence & Farnham Among Winners On Busy Sunday At Riverhead Raceway
The curtain came down on the regular race season at Riverhead Raceway in grand fashion Sunday afternoon with nine wild feature events presented. Allan Pedersen of Center Moriches won his second Figure Eight feature in a 24-hour span when he topped the 15-lap finale while Gerard Lawrence of Miller Place survived a side by side battle for the win in the 30-lap Street Stock event and Andrew Farnham of Baldwin topped the 30-lap Mini Stock contest, earning the 2022 championship in the process. Kyle Soper Sews Up 2022 NASCAR Modified Title At Riverhead Raceway With A Victory Saturday
Kyle Soper of Manorville collected his fourth NASCAR Modified championship over the past five years at Riverhead Raceway Saturday night when he won the 50-lap feature event for his 29th career win moving him to 11th on the all-time win list. Soper recently also clinched another New York State NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series championship on the strength of his four win season in the Wayne & Joette Anderson owned machine. (more…)
Doug Coby Grabs Top-Five Finish in Ed Partridge 256 at Riverhead Raceway
RIVERHEAD, N.Y. – Saturday’s NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour visit to Riverhead Raceway ended with a top-five finish for Doug Coby.
Driving the Tommy Baldwin Racing No. 7NY, Coby qualified fourth for the Ed Partridge 256, and rode around the top-five for much of the night. With infield pitting a factor for the first time in the history of Whelen Modified Tour racing at Riverhead, the team completed a successful stop and Coby raced to a strong fourth-place finish.
Justin Bonsignore Scores Ninth Riverhead Raceway WMT Win In Eddie Partridge 256 Saturday
Justin Bonsignore of Holtsville took the lead with 25-laps remaining in the Eddie Partridge 256 Saturday night and drove off his his ninth career NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour victory. The win is the second in as many WMT races in the month of September for Bonsignore who won the September 3rd event at the Oswego Speedway and the late season hot streak has entrenched Justin into the tussle for the 2022 WMT drivers championship. Doug Coby Looks For Another Triumph With Tommy Baldwin Racing at Riverhead
MILFORD, Conn. – Earlier in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour season, Doug Coby parked the Tommy Baldwin Racing No. 7NY in Victory Lane at Riverhead Raceway. The six-time Whelen Modified Tour champion’s victory in May was his third career at the New York quarter-mile, all coming within his last five starts.
