After Debuting in Western Championship in 2025, Trans Am Cup Adds National Title in 2026
CHARLOTTE (February 10, 2026) — The Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli has announced that it will add a TA Cup National Championship title for Trans Am’s 60th-anniversary season. The 2026 TA Cup National Championship schedule features a five-track, six-race lineup that will showcase the class at some of North America’s most iconic road courses. The schedule builds on the momentum of a successful inaugural season in the Western Championship, which concluded with Ken Sutherland earning the title.
The National Motorsports Press Association (NMPA) will present FOX Sports play-by-play announcer Mike Joy the prestigious Myers Brothers Award on Friday, Feb. 13, at 2:30 PM ET in the Daytona International Speedway media center deadline room.
Joy, who has led the FOX NASCAR broadcast team since 2001, FOX’s first year as a NASCAR broadcast partner, this week marks the 47th Daytona 500 for which he has been a part of live TV or radio coverage and his 57th year in motorsports broadcasting. He calls this year’s “Great American Race” on FOX on Sunday, Feb. 15, at 2:30 PM ET.
NEW SMYRNA, Fla: The offseason has taken the checkered flag, but Casey Roderick and Rette Jones Racing are ready to take the green flag in their pursuit of the 2026 ASA STARS National Tour championship, beginning Tuesday night at New Smyrna (Fla.) Speedway.
Roderick, 33, returns for his third start under the Rette Jones Racing banner in the Sunshine State on February 10, looking to capitalize on the speed and promise shown in his first two appearances with the Mooresville, N.C.-based organization.
The eagerly anticipated 2026 FIA European Rally Championship will begin with the 43rd Andalusia Rally – Sierra Morena – Córdoba World Heritage Site from 17 – 19 April.

Woodford, VA – Race fans can look forward to a perfect afternoon of short-track action as the Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour heads to Dominion Raceway for a Sunday matinee event on April 26, following a schedule adjustment from the originally planned Saturday, April 25 date.
The change was made by Track Enterprises, promoter of the event, as well as MDM Promotions Owner Marty Melo to avoid overlapping with the CARS Tour race scheduled for the same weekend. The move allows fans, teams, and competitors to enjoy two marquee racing events without conflict while setting the stage for a family-friendly Sunday afternoon show.
Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT ended up taking the Checkered Flag in the Clash at Bowman Gray while Middletown, Ct’s Joey Logano took the 11th place. Auburn Hills, Mich. – One week ahead of Ram Racing’s return to the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, the brand has officially crowned the winner of its competitive reality series, Race for the Seat. Timothy “Mini” Tyrrell claimed the final open seat on Kaulig Racing’s 2026 Truck Series roster and will drive the No. 14 Ram 1500 when the season kicks off next weekend at Daytona.
