Both Kaz Grala of Boston, MA and Kaulig Racing continue to impress in each of their NASCAR Cup Series outings.
Grala piloted Kaulig’s No. 16 Chevy to a sixth-place finish in the GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway on April 25, the best Cup finish to date for the young driver and team. The result completed a stellar weekend for the team, as Kaulig went to victory lane in the NASCAR Xfinity Series the day before via Jeb Burton‘s first career win. (more…)
Richmond Raceway has been known by several different names and has been reconfigured several times over the years of its existence, but all the while it has been a staple on the NASCAR Cup Series schedule since 1953. This weekend’s race, the TOYOTA OWNERS 400 (April 18 at 3 p.m. ET on FOX, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) is looking to add the historic prestige that Richmond has built over the decades of great on-track competition and with how this season has been shaking out it shouldn’t disappoint. Kaz Grala grew up in Westboro and now resides in North Carolina, but he’s made himself right at home at Daytona International Speedway in Florida.
Although long considered one of the toughest tracks to navigate on the NASCAR circuit, Grala has had a series of strong showings on the 2.5-mile, tri-oval layout with its steep, 31-degree banked turns. (more…)
Connecticut’s Anthony Alfredo admits that if someone told him a year ago that he’d be a NASCAR Cup Series rookie in 2021, he probably wouldn’t have believed it.
But on the cusp of his Cup debut in the Feb. 14 Daytona 500, he’s glad for the opportunity.
