Cars and Coffee Darien – THE 2025 CANNONBALL REUNION
The Cannonball Baker Sea-to-Shining-Sea Memorial Trophy Dash, widely known as the Cannonball Baker or Cannonball Run, was an unofficial, unsanctioned automobile race that captured the rebellious spirit of 1970s America. Run five times between 1971 and 1979, this legendary cross-country sprint stretched from the East Coast to the Portofino Inn in Redondo Beach, California, starting initially from New York City and later from Darien, Connecticut.

Over Labor Day Weekend, Lime Rock Park hosted the 43rd edition of the track-produced event known as Historic Festival, a five-day celebration of motorsport heritage that drew the largest collection of vintage cars in the circuit’s modern history.
With 38 races from nine race groups, three special exhibitions from the Ragtime Racers, more than 300 race entries, 125 parade participants, dozens of collector cars on display and nearly 1,000 rare classic vintage automobiles and motorcycles that participated in Sunday in the Park, the storied Connecticut circuit became a rolling museum of speed and history.

Lime Rock Park – Celebrate Skip Barber Day at HF43
Skip Barber Day: Sunday, August 31
At last year’s SpeedTour, Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont, Senator Richard Blumenthal, and Representative Maria Horn joined fans, friends, fellow racers, and the Lime Rock Park ownership group to honor a true racing legend. Together, they presented Skip Barber with a framed proclamation officially declaring August 31 as Skip Barber Day in the State of Connecticut.
This year, the celebration falls on Sunday in the Park, our Concours d’Elegance and Gathering of the Marques—making the day even more special.
