Thompson, CT — While Saturday’s Icebreaker festivities opened the New England racing season, the Tour-type Modifieds are going to have to wait one more week. With every weather forecasting outlet accessible to officials showing rain tomorrow afternoon, the decision has made to postpone Sunday’s Icebreaker 125 schedule to next Saturday, April 9.
Barre, VT and Naples, ME — The five Thompson Speedway local divisions are ready to roll into the 48th Icebreaker weekend this Saturday, with optional practice on Friday. Another new partner has joined the Stafford Speedway contingency program for the 2022 season. Casella Waste Systems will pay a $125 bonus to the 2nd place finisher in each SK Modified® feature boosting the 2nd place prize money to $1,050. After acquiring locally based Willimantic Waste Paper Company, Casella is looking to expand their reach into the Connecticut region.
Ryan Kuhn of East Bridgewater and his race team spent the winter at hard work in his shop for the first Super Late Model race at Hickory Motor Speedway in NC and other events in 2022. “We started our season off running with the Pro All Stars Series for both Easter Bunny 150’s last weekend,” said Ryan..
