Michael Bennett Becomes a 2-Time Stafford Late Model Champion

(Stafford Springs, CT)—After two winless seasons driving for Rob Russell, Michael Bennett made the decision over the off season to go back to being an owner/driver in the hope that would help him get back to NAPA Victory Lane in Stafford Speedway’s Late Model division. Bennett and the #19 Aubuchon Hardware team not only found their way back to victory lane, but put together a season that saw Bennett win his second career Late Model championship at Stafford, which was his third overall career track title.

Derek Debbis Rolls to Stafford SK Light Championship

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Following a rookie season that resulted in 5 feature wins and a second place finish in the points standings would be a tough act for any driver to follow, but for Oakdale, CT native Derek Debbis and the #56 Donna May Fisheries team, there were no such issues in his sophomore season. Debbis followed up his extraordinary rookie campaign with a division leading 7 win season that helped propel him to the top of the championship standings and become the 2021 SK Light championship.

Tri Track Open Modified Series Announces Seven-Race Schedule For 2022 Season

SEEKONK, Mass. — Tri Track Open Modified Series officials confirmed on Tuesday a seven-race schedule for the 2022 season. The series will visit six different tracks in four states spreading from April through the end of October, with the champion coronation set to return to Seekonk Speedway on October 22.

Alexandra Fearn Wins Limited Late Model Championship at Stafford to Become Track’s Second Female Champion

(Stafford Springs, CT)—After losing out on the 2020 Limited Late Model championship by virtue of a tie-breaker, Alexandra Fearn entered the 2021 Limited Late Model season at Stafford Speedway with some extra motivation. That motivation, combined with a good car and crew, helped guide Fearn to a season opening victory that she followed up with 5 more wins to propel her and the #12 Broad Brook Brewing / SAFCO Foam team to her very first track championship at Stafford.

NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Joins World Series Saturday at Thompson

Waterbury, VT and Naples, ME — The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (NWMT) and Modified Racing Series (MRS) will be part of the 60th Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing at Connecticut’s Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park. The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Pro All Stars Series (PASS) have officially announced the additions of both series, which join the Outlaw Open Modified Series Thompson 300 as part a Tour-type Modified tripleheader at the 2022 edition of the annual racing festival.

Frank L’Etoile, Jr. Secures Third Career Stafford Speedway Street Stock Track Championship

(Stafford Springs, CT)—After a season long duel between himself and Chris Meyer, Frank L’Etoile, Jr. used a 6^th place finish in the NAPA Championship Night Street Stock feature event to become the 2021 Street Stock champion at Stafford Speedway. The championship is the third Street Stock championship of L’Etoile’s career at Stafford, joining the titles he won in 2014 and 2015.

Seekonk Speedway To Celebrate 2021 Champions In January

SEEKONK, Mass. — Seekonk Speedway will celebrate champions from the 2021 season from both Fast Friday and NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series Saturday next January. Two different banquets will be held to appropriately honor all of the champions, top-10 finishers and special award winners from all nine of Seekonk’s racing divisions. Weekly racing will continue to be the core of the Stafford Speedway schedule with the SK Modified®, Late Model, SK Light Modified, Limited Late Model, and Street Stock divisions running weekly from May through September.

50th NAPA Spring Sizzler® Set to Pay $15,000 to Win

(Stafford Springs, CT)— The historic 50th running of the NAPA Auto Parts Spring Sizzler® is set to take place at Stafford Speedway April 23 & 24, 2022 featuring the Open Modifieds. Stafford Speedway officials have announced over $130,000 in prize money including $15,000 to win the 50th Spring Sizzler® and $3,500 to win each of the NAPA Duel qualifying events.
