Round Two Of Sunoco Drive For The Cup Playoff Racing This Weekend At Seekonk Speedway

Just three weeks remain in the weekly racing season for 2024 at Seekonk Speedway. This Friday and Saturday night, the Sunoco Drive For The Cup playoffs continue with racing across nine different Seekonk divisions.

The battle is on to gain as many playoff points as possible in all divisions, as drivers continue to try and etch their name into the Final Four. It all begins on Friday night at 7 p.m. with five divisions of racing, followed by another four divisions of NASCAR Saturday racing at 6 p.m. On NASCAR Saturday, the East Coast Towing & Recovery Spectator Drags also will join the show for the final time during a weekly racing event this season. The Race Of Champions Dirt 602 Sportsman Modified Series Heads To Ohsweken Speedway This Thursday, September 12, 2024 To Settle Championship

Ohsweken, Ontario-Canada – (September 9, 2024) – Brad Rouse of St. Catherines, Ontario-Canada based off his victory this past Sunday at Humberstone Speedway in Port Colborne, Ontario will lead the Race of Champions Dirt 602 Sportsman Modified Series to Ohsweken (Ontario-Canada) Speedway Thursday for a championship battle as part of their “Canadian Nationals” weekend.

Rouse captured Sunday night’s race at Humberstone and is looking to capture another championship in Series competition.

“It would be a real nice way to close out the Series,” stated Rouse. “We are proud to have won the last Sunday race at Humberstone and we will be ready to go when we go to Ohsweken on Thursday.”

BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – Following significant rainfall during a line of storms mid-afternoon, and with more rain showers on the radar screen to follow for the next several hours leading up to race time Saturday evening, track management had to once again cancel the planned race events for this week at Grandview Speedway.

The mid and late day precipitation left the speedway facility very wet, and with no drying weather expected right after the rain moved through, it would not have allowed the track crew a chance to be able to prepare the track in a timely manner for the evening’s race program. (more…)
