Barre, VT – In a night filled with Thunder Road favorite events, none could beat the annual Port-a-Potty Grand Prix. A Ken Squier Original, the three point leaders and a chosen Road Warrior crew lined up for the annual test of man, crew and endurance at the Nation’s Site of Excitement. While Kyler Davis took home the Golden Plunger for the best appearing potty, Sam Caron took home the Golden Throne toilet seat prize as first across the Thunder Road two-ply finish line.

Barre, VT — Starting a picture-perfect day on Quarry Hill last Sunday, Thunder Road Speedbowl managing partner Cris Michaud announced the creation of the Squier Cup in honor of late Thunder Road founder Ken Squier with a new granite monument at the Speedbowl he created back in 1960. The Squier Cup is a triple crown series for the Maplefield/Irving Late Models that call Thunder Road home every week, made up of three marquee events with the inaugural champion earning their name in Barre Gray granite and the first name on the new Squier Cup! Barre, VT — Following a meeting between Thunder Road officials, Vermont state government officials and representatives of the Squier family, all parties have announced today that the Kenley Dean Extravaganza – A Celebration of Life, for the One-and-Only, Ken Squier is in full planning stages and scheduled for Saturday, May 4 at Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre, Vermont. The Kenley Dean Extravaganza will begin at 12:00-noon on Saturday, May 4 with the annual Thunder Road car show set to start the day beginning at 9:00am. (more…)

LOUDON, NH: Legends Day, the museum’s most important annual event will take place on Sunday November 12th at the New England Racing Museum (922 Rt. 106, Loudon, NH). Headlining will be four national motor racing broadcasters with New England roots. The event will include an honoree panel discussion, permanent banner unveiling and a buffet lunch.
