As of publishing, the rk Miles Street Stock division is once again at the forefront with six rookies as of late, the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers are in close second with five registered rookies and the Maplewood Convenience/Irving Oil Late Models in third with at least two committed rookies for the upcoming season.

Our first event in September 1993 was headlined by the NASCAR Busch North Series and in celebrating our 30th season in 2022, WMMP isn’t showing any signs of limiting our exposure to touring series or travelling fans. All in all, twelve different touring divisions will take to the North Woodstock high-banks throughout the summer.

(Stafford Springs, CT)—After a 2021 season that paid out over $100,000 contingency bonuses to drivers, Stafford Speedway’s Contingency Program will welcome American Sign, Inc. of New Haven, CT as a new contingency sponsor for the 2022 season. American Sign will contribute weekly bonuses of $75 to each Street Stock feature winner as well as $75 to each third place SK Light finisher. American Sign will contribute a total of $3,300 during the 2022 season with $1,650 each going to SK Light and Street Stock drivers.

Two months later than originally planned, the 2021 champions of the Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series of Riverhead Raceway will be recognized Friday evening January 14th at The All Star of Riverhead. The Barkhamsted, CT native and driver of the #42 P.J. Ladola & Sons Electrical Contractors, Inc. Chevrolet made the transition from the deserts of Parker, Arizona and Las Vegas to the asphalt of Stafford Speedway a smooth one as he scored 3 top-5 and 13 top-10 finishes in 18 starts to claim the R.A.D. Auto Machine Rookie of the Year title.
