Tri-Track Open Modified Series to Open Season at Monadnock Speedway
SEEKONK, Mass. — More than 30 cars are expected in the pit area when the Tri Track Open Modified Series opens the 2021 season on Saturday, May 1 at Monadnock Speedway. The Wonder Casino 100 will mark the first of six races on the Tri Track circuit, with a lucrative purse structure and top talent from across the region set to thrill race fans in New Hampshire. Stan Mertz Racing To Open 2021 Season At Monadnock Speedway
WHITINSVILLE, Mass. — After a long offseason, Stan Mertz Racing will open the 2021 season on Saturday, May 1, at Monadnock Speedway in New Hampshire. With driver Woody Pitkat at the controls, the team is set to compete in the opener of the Tri Track Open Modified Series season. Track Talk – Savary To Take On Thompson Speedway’s Outlaw Modified Race This Weekend; Other Notes
Richard Savary of Canton plans to take in the Outlaw Modified race this Saturday, 4/11/21 at the 5/8-mile Thompson Speedway in CT which will open the 2021 racing season. He originally planned to only race in the Tri Track Open Modified Series which is comprised of just six events this season.
Thompson Speedway’s Icebreaker Sunday Schedule Moved to Saturday Night Due to Forecast
Waterbury, VT & Naples, ME — The Sunday program of the annual Icebreaker at Connecticut’s Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 10 at approximately 5:30pm. American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Pro All Stars Series (PASS) officials made the decision due to an inclement weather forecast for Sunday, April 11. I heard how much different this car was, and I wanted to see it for myself. Darlington is one of the top 3-4 most challenging tracks we get around. It might be the most difficult. This track in turns 1-2 is different than 3-4. I really wanted to get to drive this car and see what this thing’s like at a track that I’m comfortable at. I have a good understanding of this track, and what it takes to get rubbered in and what direction to go to hopefully find us the best tire. (more…)

NASCAR “Positive” and “Promising” After Rain Tire Test at Martinsville
Words such as “positive” and “promising” were among the descriptors used by John Probst, NASCAR’s Senior Vice President of Racing Innovation, as the one-day session drew to a close. The test, he said, wasn’t a tipping point toward a full-fledged yes or no on going forward with wet-weather tires on shorter oval tracks in certain conditions, but it was key to gathering data and feedback for further assessment.
