Nathan Nicholson to Drive the No. 76 Truck at First Three Road Courses
Mooresville, NC (January 21, 2026) – Spencer Boyd, veteran driver and owner of Freedom Racing Enterprises, announced today that he will be stepping out of the seat for the first three road course races of the 2026 Craftsman Truck Series season. Nathan Nicholson, who finished third in the 2025 Mazda MX Cup Championship, will turn his first laps in the No. 76 Whelen Engineering Chevrolet Silverado during the 2026 Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg weekend.

During the 75th Anniversary season at Riverhead Raceway in 2025, John Beatty Jr. of Merrick accomplished something that had not been done in thirty years, and just twice over 75-years when he earned his third straight NASCAR Modified championship. Beatty will be feted along with eleven other Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series divisional champions at the Riverhead Raceway awards celebration Friday January 23rd at Giorgio’s Premier Caterers of Baiting Hollow.
NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Comes Home to Thompson for Three Events in 2026

Thompson, CT — The National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) announced Thursday afternoon the 2026 Whelen Modified Tour schedule ahead of the 2025 championship event at Martinsville Speedway in Virginia. Included in the sixteen race schedule will be three events contested on the 0.625-mile Thompson Speedway here in Connecticut including the all-important finale in the heart of Modified country.
Three Big Race Stretch Set For Super Late Model Racing
The road to the end of the 2025 season runs through three big Super Late Model events. This Saturday October 25th Cordele Motor Speedway kicks off the 3 race stretch with the World Crown 300. Following Cordele the Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour will conclude their 2025 season with the 40th running of the All American 400 at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway on November 7-9. To cap it off one week later the ASA Southern Super Series will crown its 2025 Champion at New Smyrna Speedway as a part of the 60th running of the Florida Governor’s Cup.
