BARRE, Vt. – The Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series visited Barre, Vermont for the first time in history and Chase Dowling wasn’t going to be denied. The Roxbury, Connecticut, native captured the $10,000 winning prize in the Granite City 100 – passing for the lead with 48 laps to go and leading the remainder of the distance en route to Victory Lane.
The Pioneer Pole Building BALLS TO THE WALL 50 for 358 Modifieds and SpeedSTR’s will make-up a special doubleheader at the Grandview Speedway on Sunday night, May 29. This event will also mark the first of two Tri-Track races at Grandview in 2022. Gates open at 5 PM with race time set for 7:30 PM.

The fast approaching Sunday, May 29 NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series opener will showcase the 358 Modifieds in the first time running of the Balls to the Wall 50, a very unique format and thanks to Pioneer Pole Buildings, there is a possible $13,000 payout to the winner. The SpeedSTR’s will join the card highlighted by a 25 lap feature paying $2,500 to win. GT Radiators of Ambler, PA, always great friends to Thunder on the Hill have posted $200 to the modified heat race and consi winner. Gates open at 5 PM and race time is set for 7:30 PM.
Barre, VT — As part of last weekend’s 63rd Season Opener and Community Bank 150, Thunder Road and the American-Canadian Tour celebrated their 2021 champions, top runners and rookies as well as the various annual special awards presented by the ACT sanctioning body. Because of COVID-19 concerns, the annual dinner and awards ceremony was once again held outdoors on the Thunder Road property under the afternoon sun. (more…)
Barre, VT — With 117 cars on hand for the 63rd Season Opener at Thunder Road International Speedbowl, 17 qualifying races were needed before the four feature races took the green creating some of the best stock car racing in the United States at the ‘Nation’s Site of Excitement.’ When all the dust settled Sunday afternoon, a first time winner stood amongst hardened veterans and the ‘King of Barre’ remained on his throne.
