Riverhead Raceway owners Connie Partridge and Tom Gatz are honored to announce the 2025 inductees onto the Cromarty Wall of Champions which include a first since the inception of the wall with the induction of Tom Baldwin Sr. and Tom Baldwin Jr. The Baldwin inductions are groundbreaking in that they become the first father and son enshrined in the same ceremony. Former Figure Eight standout Tom Ryan and popular “Long” John Silver join the Baldwin’s as the class of 2025, Silver has the distinction of being the first Demolition Derby/Car Rollover inductee.

The new F1 movie starring Brad Pitt and Damson Idris has been a hit with a stellar opening weekend at the box office. And with its arrival, rumors are flying about another potential racing movie that could be in the works — Days of Thunder 2, a sequel to the 1990 NASCAR film starring Tom Cruise.
Jerry Bruckheimer, who produced the hit Formula 1 film, also produced Days of Thunder, which recently celebrated its 35th anniversary. The film remains both relevant and beloved by NASCAR fans today, but could a sequel really be in the cards?

Fearn began his career at Riverside Park Speedway during the 1985 season and kicked off his Stafford career in the 1988 Fall Final.

Thompson, CT — Out-of-character weather greeted the American-Canadian Tour faithful with clear skies and plenty of sunshine on Sunoco World Series Saturday at Thompson Speedway. Windham, Maine’s Brandon Barker earned the pole position in the Chad Sullivan-owned Epping Express with New Salem, Massachusetts-driver Tom Carey III bringing Roger McHugh’s Brookside Ride an outside pole starting spot in Plus/Minus heat race qualifying. Drama sparked pit-side following qualifying action with both Erick Sands and Derek Gluchacki disqualified from their heat race results with both deemed too wide in post-heat tech inspection. (more…)
Tom Carey III Takes ‘the Brookside Ride’ to $5,000 Back to School Bash Victory
Thompson, CT — The Street Stocks got Sunday’s Back to School Bash at Thompson Speedway off to a rip-roaring start with polesitter Austin Flanagan quickly losing the lead under the green flag with an ill-handling machine. Flanagan’s fumble gave Ryan Waterman open range at the front of the pack as Al Stone III and Corey Fanning attempted to reel him in during their 20-lap feature. The lone caution flag flew just before the halfway point as Mike Viens went into the spin cycle in turn one. Although his early lead evaporated in an instant, Ryan Waterman again powered through on the restart to lead the Street Stocks under the checkered flag with Al Stone III and Corey Fanning joining the podium. Mists, both heavy and light, started the day at Oxford Plains Speedway as racers went through the preparation paces for the Pine Tree State 125. Being the Maine home for the American-Canadian Tour, the pits were filled with contenders, each eager to make their stake in the Tour’s long history at the venerable Vacationland oval.
