Last Sunday’s NASCAR Daytona 500 averaged a 2.8 rating and 4.83 million viewers on FOX, easily the lowest in the history of the race. Ratings fell 36% and viewership 34% from the previous low set last year, when most of the race was run on a Monday afternoon (4.4, 7.33M). (more…)
For the first time in a NASCAR Cup Series season (1949-2021) the schedule calls for the series to visit seven different road course tracks – Daytona International Speedway Road Course, Circuit of The Americas (COTA), Watkins Glen International, Sonoma Raceway, Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course, Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course (ROVAL) and Road America. MOORESVILLE, N.C. (Feb. 18, 2021) – Two-time Daytona 500 winner Michael Waltrip is the latest racecar driver to join the Superstar Racing Experience (SRX), a six-race short-track series airing this summer on Saturday nights in primetime on CBS.
SRX features sprint races with drivers from a variety of motorsports backgrounds competing in identically prepared racecars on a variety of tracks, including pavement and dirt. (more…)
Nashville, TN (Monday, February 15, 2021) – One of the highlights of the 2021 Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway (NFS) schedule is the championship race for the Superstar Racing Experience (SRX), the brand-new series created by racing icons Ray Evernham and Tony Stewart, with CBS Sports. The Series will visit some of the most recognized short-tracks across the country during its six-week schedule that begins June 12th in Connecticut, and concludes on July 17th in Nashville, Tennessee. Riley Herbst begins 2021 with the familiar colors of Monster Energy, but in a new make with a number. He takes over the No. 98 Ford Mustang from Chase Briscoe, who scored nine wins in 2020. Herbst made the move to Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR) after spending the 2019-2020 seasons with Joe Gibbs Racing. This will be Herbst’s first year behind the wheel of a Ford Mustang. (more…)
Daniel Hemric owns one top-10 finish in five career NASCAR Xfinity Series starts at Daytona International Speedway. Last summer, he started seventh and finished 24th at the World Center of Racing after being collected in a multi-car accident. Hemric is a former pole winner at Daytona and has started inside the top five in four of his five Xfinity Series starts at the track. Hemric also posted a top-10 finish in NASCAR Camping World Truck Series competition at Daytona back in 2016. (more…)

The driver of the No. 22 Team Penske Ford’s focus was looking months ahead—to the inaugural Cup race on dirt at Bristol Motor Speedway. Logano had never raced on dirt and never really had any desire to do so. (more…)
Harrison Burton returns to Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) for his second full season in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2021 behind the wheel of the DEX Imaging Toyota Supra. Coming off an impressive rookie season which saw Burton capture Sunoco Rookie of the Year honors and finish eighth in the championship driver standings, Burton will look to capture JGR’s third Xfinity Series Driver’s Championship under the leadership of veteran crew chief Jason Ratcliff this season. Brandon Jones and the No. 19 Menards/Jeld-Wen team charge into Daytona for the 2021 Xfinity Series season kickoff this Saturday.
