Double Down: Christian Eckes tames Darlington with double overtime victory
Leading a race-high 82 laps, McAnally-Hilgemann Racing’s Christian Eckes survived some late race overtime chaos to take the win in Darlington Raceway last weekend. Eckes was able to hold off several drivers, including polesitter Corey Heim, Cup Series regular William Byron, and Stewart Friesen to take the win.
Through seven races of the 2023 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series season, six different winners have visited Victory Lane. When the series returns to action next weekend at Kansas Speedway for the Heart of America 200 (Saturday, May 6, at 8 p.m. ET on FS1, MRN, and SiriusXM Radio), it could very well see a seventh.
Several ASA Midwest Tour competitors plan to travel south to Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida, for the inaugural ASA STARS National Tour Sunshine State 200 event on March 10-11, 2023.
The résumé of the Midwest competitors is impressive, and they will be major contenders to grab the first ASA STARS National Tour checkered flag.
Pensacola, FL (February 27, 2023) – An impressive list of drivers is lined up for the inaugural event for the ASA STARS National Tour, the Sunshine State 200, on March 10-11 at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, FL. 31 drivers are on the early entry list still two-weeks out from the historic event at the famed ½-mile oval in the Panhandle of Florida.
The list includes 20 champions of Late Model racing, seven Super Late Model crown jewel winners and two ARCA Champions. In fact, nearly 90-percent of the drivers currently registered have won Late Model races in their careers. (more…)
Over the last three years, Derek Thorn has been pretty much unstoppable when it comes to the Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway. Despite that, Thorn entered Sunday’s 300-lap contest having never won the prestigious event.
Now, in his 10th attempt at chasing the Tom Dawson Trophy, Derek Thorn will finally get the chance to take the trophy home, securing the victory in one of the most dominating performances in Snowball Derby history. (more…)
After a week to get their trucks ready for Championship Weekend, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series drivers are gearing up for the Lucas Oil 150 at Phoenix Raceway on Friday, Nov. 4 at 10 p.m. ET on FS1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio to decide who of the Championship 4 contenders – Ty Majeski, Zane Smith, Ben Rhodes and Chandler Smith – will finish the highest this weekend and win the 2022 title.
The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series concluded the Playoffs Round of 8 at Homestead-Miami Speedway last weekend, locking in the four drivers that will compete to take home the title and be named the 2022 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion.
Talladega Superspeedway is known for its wild racing and unexpected results and last weekend was no exception. In his first year in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, Matt DiBenedetto, driver of the No. 25 Rackley WAR Chevrolet, made his first-ever trip to Victory Lane after a race that ended under caution.

Not only did ThorSport Racing’s Ty Majeski score his first NASCAR national series victory last weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway, but he also claimed the first berth in the Championship 4 Round set to take place at Phoenix Raceway with the championship season finale on November 4.
Majeski will now get to breathe easy as the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series takes the week off before partaking in some superspeedway action at the 2.66-mile Talladega Superspeedway. (more…)
