The Stage Is Set: The NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series Will Crown a New Champion in Phoenix

The competitors are gearing up for the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series Championship Race at Phoenix Raceway this Friday, November 8 at 8 p.m. ET on FS1, MRN, and SiriusXM Radio (Channel 90), where it will decide who of the Championship 4 contenders – Grant Enfinger, Christian Eckes, Ty Majeski, and Corey Heim – will finish the highest and take the 2024 title.

The half-mile track has hosted 33 CRAFTSMAN Truck Series races since its inaugural Phoenix race – a race won by Mike Skinner piloting the No. 3 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet on February 5, 1995. Skinner bested legendary drivers Terry Labonte, Ron Hornaday Jr., and Johnny Benson Jr.

Barre, VT — The American-Canadian Tour is set to return to Massachusetts’s lone paved oval, the Seekonk Speedway, for the second time this year next Saturday, November 2. The Haunted Hundred marks the final event of the 2024 season with both the international championship on the line as well as the Brookside Equipment Sales Southern New England Triple Crown, Saturday’s showcase has plenty of pressure for the invading ACT Tour stars. Harrison Burton and the No. 21 Motorcraft/Quick Lane team are headed to the Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway needing a stellar run to advance to the Round of 12 in the Cup Series Playoffs.

Burton is 16th in the standings, 20 points below the cutoff for advancement to the next round. After Saturday night’s 500-lapper on the high-banked half-mile, the bottom four drivers in the Playoff standings will be eliminated from championship contention. (more…)

Closure of Stewart-Haas Racing Will Impact Over 300 Employees

The end of Stewart-Haas Racing at the end of the NASCAR season will lead to the loss of 323 jobs. Some of those employees may find jobs with a smaller team moving forward in 2025 with just half of the current ownership duo.

NASCAR Hall of Fame driver Tony Stewart and Gene Haas formed the Kannapolis-based team before the start of the 2009 season, and together collected 69 wins, the last coming in November 2022. In May, the pair announced this season will be the last for the four-car Cup team, which also has two cars racing in the second-tier NASCAR Xfinity Series. (more…)
