AVONDALE, Ariz. – Nov. 10, 2024 – Team Penske driver Joey Logano won the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series Championship this afternoon on NBC and Peacock – his third career Cup Series title and third straight title for Team Penske after Ryan Blaney won in 2023. Logano outdueled fellow Championship 4 contenders Ryan Blaney (2nd place), William Byron (3rd place), and Tyler Reddick (6th) at Phoenix Raceway in Avondale, Ariz.

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana – Mercedes-AMG clinched a third-straight GT America powered by AWS Manufacturer Championship to highlight a successful season-ending weekend of SRO America competition at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) that included GT4 and GT2 race wins and a three-day haul of six total podium finishes. The half dozen visits to IMS victory lane included a pair of podium showings by Mercedes-AMG Performance Teams GruppeM Racing and Lone Star Racing. Maro Engel, Jules Gounon and Mikael Grenier drove the No. 130 Mercedes-AMG Team GruppeM Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 to a second-place Pro-class finish while the No. 4 Mercedes-AMG Team Lone Star Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 of Luca Stolz, Fabian Schiller and Alex Palou rallied to third-place Pro honors in Saturday’s Intercontinental GT Challenge (IGTC) Indianapolis 8 Hour. (Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted its final Friday night race program of the 2024 season with NAPA Auto Parts Championship Night on October 4.  Feature wins were notched by Michael Christopher, Jr. in the SK Modified® feature, Adam Gray in the Late Model feature, Josh Morrison in the SK Light feature, Matt Clement in the Limited Late Model feature, and Travis Hydar in the Street Stock feature.  Tyler Chapman had already secured the SK Light track championship last week and the other 2024 track champions are Andrew Molleur in the SK Modified® division, Kevin Gambacorta for the second consecutive season in the Late Model division, Matt Clement in the Limited Late Model division, and Travis Downey in the Street Stock feature. (Nashville, TN) A field of 124 race cars packed the pits this past Saturday, October 5 at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway. Breast Cancer Awareness Night featured six main events on the exciting quarter-mile and three features on the wicked fast 5/8-mile.

Pro Late Model point leader, Dawson Sutton, an 18-year old from Lebanon, TN, bested a strong field of competitors in qualifying. Moments later, Sutton drew the #2 pill, increasing his chances of winning his fourth feature of the season. (more…)

Josh St. Clair Wins 2nd Consecutive Strictly Shootout at Wiscasset Speedway

Wiscasset Speedway closed out their 2024 points season on Saturday and celebrated by hosting their biggest Strictly Street race of the year; the Strictly Shootout presented by Thayer’s Automotive. With a guaranteed $600 winner’s payout and thousands of dollars of contingency prizes on the line, 40 drivers showed up to shoot their shot at making it into the big dance.

The racing action kicked off with three extended 12-lap heat races for the Strictly Shootout, where the top 6 drivers from each qualifier would advance into the big show. Dan Brown, Dan McKeage, Jr. and Landon Tapley won these heats while heavy hitters like Jordan Russell, Nate Leavitt, Zack Emerson and others were forced into consolation races.

Matt Hirschman Wins NAPA Fall Final Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series Feature at Stafford

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Motor Speedway welcomed the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series to the track for the $15,000 to win NAPA Fall Final.  Matt Hirschman scored a repeat victory in the race as he won the NAPA Fall Final last season and he took home the $15k winner’s check.

The NAPA Fall Final took the green flag with a stackup at the front of the pack as Mikey Flynn didn’t quite come up to speed that saw Ron Silk end his race in the turn 1 wall before a lap could be completed.

The next restart saw the same thing with polesitter Flynn not coming up to speed and he spun to bring the caution flag out before a lap could be put on the board. (more…)

Ludovic Godard Wins on the Rallye Cœur de France, Pierre Roché Wins His Second Alpine ELF Rally Trophy Title
  • Round five of the calendar proved decisive in the different races for the Alpine ELF Rally Trophy titles.
  • Co-driven by Damien Augustin, Ludovic Godard returned to winning ways with his maiden victory of the season on the Rallye Cœur de France.
  • Runner-up on home soil, Pierre and Martine Roché clinched their second consecutive title while also securing their second Challengers crown in succession.
  • Despite going off the road, Grégory Fontalba and Stéphan Hermet won the Gentlemen title ahead of the season finale at the Rallye du Var (21-24 November).
  • Alpine also won the GT+ with Raphaël Astier and Denis Giraudet’s A110 Rallye GT+ and the French 2WD Rally Championship with Cédric Robert and Matthieu Duval’s A110 Rally.
