(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway returned to racing action on Friday, May 26 with the SK Lights taking center stage with their first of two 40-lap Double Down extra distance feature events for the 2023 season. Brian Sullivan was the big winner of the night taking down his second win of the 2023 season in the 40-lap SK Light feature event.
RACE RUNDOWN: In his 12th start in “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing,” Josef Newgarden captured his first Indianapolis 500 win and the 100th win for Team Penske and Shell-Pennzoil in any series.

Ron Silk picked up where he left off in modified competition at Stafford by following up his NAPA Fall Final victory last September with a victory in his NAPA Duel Qualifying Race along with taking the checkered flag in the 51st Annual NAPA Spring Sizzler.
BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – Doug Manmiller of Shoemakersville, Pa. was able to grab the lead with just five laps remaining in Saturday night’s 30-lap T.P. Trailer NASCAR Modified feature event and raced home to his first victory of the season at Grandview Speedway. (more…)

Feature races were held for the American Canadian Tour, Limited Late Models, and Street Stocks along with two 40-lap NAPA Duel races that set the top-20 lineup for Saturday’s 100-lap NAPA Spring Sizzler® main event.
