SEEKONK, Mass. – Matt “Big Money” Hirschman lived up to his name once again on Wednesday night, June 29, capturing the top $10,000 prize and winning his fifth Open Wheel Wednesday title at Seekonk Speedway in Massachusetts. Competing in the third round of the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series season, Hirschman passed Woody Pitkat for the lead on lap 31 and never looked back, rolling to his second Tri-Track win of the season in three series events.
For the second-time in two years, Ryan Preece took the checkered flag in the Rackley Roofing 200 at Nashville Superspeedway. Preece, driving part-time for Team DGR, has now won both NASCAR Camping World Truck Series events at Nashville since the sport returned to the track in 2021. (more…)
Clean air and patience were the name of the game at Nashville on Sunday and Chase Elliott was both. For fans, patience was tried as the race was delayed for weather twice for lightning and rain with the second delay lasting over 2 hours. If you were able to stay awake, kudos to you.
The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb has changed a few times since it began back in 1916. What started as a showcase of what cars can do slowly morphed into the most unique USAC IndyCar race of the season. Then, it became the most prestigious single stage rally in the world, one won first by Group B monsters and then by specials built in their style long after the class ended.

Every time the popular NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour rolls into Riverhead Raceway on Long Island it is usually noted along the way the last time a track regular won a WMT event was back in 1995. Saturday night Kyle Soper of Manorville, the reigning champion at the quarter mile bullring scored one for the home team winning the Buzz Chew Chevrolet 200 after reclaiming the lead from defending WMT kingpin Justin Bonsignore of Holtsville with 10-laps remaining. Team DGR called upon the expertise of NASCAR Cup Series driver Todd Gilliland to pilot their No. 17 Ford at Knoxville Raceway last weekend and the decision paid off big-time with a trip to Victory Lane, the first for the organization this season. Ultimately the win was great for Gilliland, but for the drivers vying for the final five spots in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Playoffs, it stole a chance for one of the championship contenders to lock themselves into the postseason with a win.
According to local weather experts it was supposed to be a pleasant final weekend of spring on Long Island. However suddenly Saturday evening a “clipper system” from the Northeast blew in and brought rain to Riverhead Raceway ending the program 25-laps into a scheduled 40-lap Crate Modified feature.
