SEEKONK, Mass. — Chase Dowling started at the front and never relinquished the top spot in a victorious afternoon at Seekonk Speedway on Saturday, October 23. Dowling bested the field in the Tri Track Open Modified Series Haunted Hundred — outlasting 26 of the top Modified drivers in New England to score a $6,000 check in the season-finale.

Cabral, Stergios Take Hammond Memorial Thompson World Series NEMA Wins
The Northeastern Midget Association visited the Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park for the annual ACT World Series of Racing this past Saturday and Sunday, as 30 winged NEMA warriors filled the pits for the annual Shane Hammond Memorial. Randy Cabral fended off an early race challenge by John Zych and a late race challenge by teammate Ben Seitz to take down the NEMA victory and come one step closer to his eighth championship, and PJ Stergios dominated the Lites portion of the racing card on Sunday.

Cabral, Bailey Take NEMA Wins at LEE USA’s Oktoberfest
The Northeastern Midget Association rolled into the Wrenn family’s LEE USA Speedway this past Saturday for the annual Oktoberfest event. A packed racing card highlighted NEMA and the NEMA Lites as the stars of the evening. In the NEMA feature, seven-time champion Randy Cabral came from eighth place to win the division. In the NEMA Lites division, Joey Bailey took down his first ever NEMA Lites victory in a “wreckers to checkers” story, as just over a week prior he found himself in the woods at Star Speedway.
Bubba Wallace Wins His First Cup Race at Talladega
After a rain delayed the race for a day, NASCAR hoped to get in a full race on Monday and put on a good show. Well they certainly got one of the two wishes. With rain headed to the track area, teams knew that the race just might get called early. Passing halfway made the race official and after light rain that hit just one end of the track, Mother Nature unloaded on the entire tack forcing NASCAR to call the race just shy of the end of Stage 2.

The SK Modified® feature saw Todd Owen declared the winner after post-race inspection determined that original feature winner Stephen Kopcik and third place finisher Jon Puleo did not meet rule 20E – 12.3 Coil Over Shocks and both cars were disqualified from the feature finish. Sammy Smith wins East Series championship while teammate Ty Gibbs takes checkered at Bristol
BRISTOL, Tenn. — Joe Gibbs Racing drivers Ty Gibbs and Sammy Smith could not have executed the plan more perfectly.
With both the No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota and the No. 81 Engine Ice Toyota parked on the Bristol Motor Speedway frontstretch, facing each other with their bumpers touching, each driver roared his engine and punished his General Tires for an epic double burnout. (more…)
