Toyota GAZOO Racing Unites with Toyota North American Motorsports

Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) has announced that its racing division, Toyota Racing, will formally become Toyota Gazoo Racing North America prior to the start of the 2025 motorsports season.

All Toyota motorsports efforts in 2025 will compete under the global Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) banner. TRD, U.S.A., a subsidiary of TMNA, will continue its technical and engineering support across Toyota motorsports efforts throughout the U.S. (more…)

Barre, VT — After announcing the return of a true ACT Flying Tiger Tour last November, the 2024 Flying Tiger Tri-State Series comes to an end at Oxford Plains Speedway this Saturday, October 19. After starting off the season twenty-nine strong at North Woodstock, New Hampshire’s White Mountain Motorsports Park back in May and battling in the Cody Chevrolet-Cadillac 100 at Barre, Vermont’s Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl in August, the Vacationland 75 is calling teams over from the Twin State area to take on the 3/8-mile Maine oval and wrap up the 2024 season in a fun way! Joey Logano Rejoins NASCAR Cup Round of 8 With a Vengeance

It wasn’t Friday the 13th. It was Sunday the 13th, but just like Jason Voorhees from the well-known horror franchise, Joey Logano is back—and ready to frighten seven other survivors in the Round of 8 of the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs.

It’s an even-numbered year after all.

When the Bank of America ROVAL 400 ended on Sunday afternoon at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course, Logano had failed to advance to the Round of 8 by four points, thanks to a determined charge through the field by Regular Season Champion Tyler Reddick.

Kyle Larson won the Cup race while Joey Logano of Middletown, CT came in eighth. Not so fortunate were Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT who got 25^th while Boston’s Kaz Grala came in 27^th with Corey LaJoie being awarded 37th. Corey is the son of Two-Time Xfinity Champion Randy LaJoie who grew up in Norwalk, CT before moving south.

Sam Mayer won the Xfinity race the previous day with Parker Kligerman of Westport, CT coming in sixth while Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT took 16th. Not so fortunate was Blain Perkins who placed 33rd. Perkins drives the entry owned by Cape Cod’s Chris and his daughter Mary Our who receive their mail in Chatham, MA.

Wiscasset Speedway Sends off 2024 Race Season with Annual Fall Fury Event

After 6 months of racing excitement, Wiscasset Speedway bid adieu to their 2024 race season on Saturday with their annual Fall Fury event. This year’s program included the Wicked Good Vintage Racers, the Ladies Acceleration Tour and a 150-lap Enduro.

The racing action kicked off with a 25-lap feature for the WGVR Late Models. Addison Bowie was a dominant force until lap 20, where he came to a slow on the track, causing the field to check up. George Haskell took over on the restart and never looked back, picking up the feature victory while Bobby Symonds and Parker Long rounded out the podium.

Here’s How The New England Drivers And Those Who Have Connections With The Six State New England Area Did Over The Weekend At Talladega

Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. won the Cup race while Corey LaJoie finished 18^th with Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT placing 24^th and Joey Logano of Middletown, CT ended up 33rd while Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT finished 35th. Corey LaJoie is the son of two-time Xfinity Champion Randy LaJoie who served his racing apprenticeship while a resident of Norwalk, CT before moving South to NC.

Sammy Smith ended up having a great day in the Xfinity Series pulling off the win. Stamford, CT’s Parker Kligerman came in 12^th with Blair Perkins finishing 18^th then there was Anthony Alfredo doing double duty coming in 29^th. Next was Kyle Weatherman in 31st. Perkins and Weatherman along with Alfredo are teammates in the three-car stable owned by Cape Cod’s Chris Our and his daughter who are residents of Chatham, MA.

Sammy Smith Clinches Spot in Round of 8 With Xfinity Series Victory at Talladega

TALLADEGA, Ala. – A last lap pass for the win is a recurring theme at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway and that’s exactly what landed JR Motorsports driver Sammy Smith in Victory Lane on Saturday. It was the only lap he led all day but it was good enough to win Saturday’s United Rentals 250 overtime thriller and earn Smith an automatic berth into the next round of the NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs.
