After 19 grueling races across 18 different venues, the 2024 ARCA Menards Series season will conclude this weekend at Toledo Speedway.

Since hosting its first race for the ARCA Menards Series back in 1963, Toledo has occasionally served as the season finale date. Saturday’s Owens Corning 200 will be the fourth consecutive year the ARCA Menards Series championship has been decided at Toledo and the seventh time overall. (more…)

Todd Gilliland Takes on Talladega with Georgia Peanuts

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (October 1, 2024) – Todd Gilliland is back in the infamous Georgia Peanuts Ford Mustang Dark Horse this weekend at the Talladega Superspeedway.

Gilliland has shown much speed on superspeedways this season, leading laps in the Daytona 500 and NASCAR’s first visit to the Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway. Gilliland has also qualified within the Top-5 in three of the four superspeedway races this season and hopes to continue that this weekend. Georgia Peanuts will partner will Gilliland for the 500-mile event. (more…)

Layne Riggs Makes Talladega Debut with Love’s RV Stop / Peak

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (October 1, 2024) – Layne Riggs travels to the state of Alabama this Friday to make his Talladega Superspeedway debut.

Following a runner-up finish at the Kansas Speedway, Riggs extends his streak of Top-5 finishes to five. This will be Riggs’ first race at the 2.6-mile superspeedway and third superspeedway race of the season. Love’s RV Stop and Peak will join Riggs in his Talladega debut. (more…)

Michael McDowell Returns to Talladega with Love’s RV Stop & Peak, Looking for Win

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (October 1, 2024) – Talladega Superspeedway plays host to the NASCAR Cup Series as Michael McDowell and the No. 34 team look to play Playoff spoiler this weekend.

Talladega has been a great track statistically for McDowell and Front Row Motorsports. For McDowell he has three Top-5s and four Top-10s in 27 starts, including a third-place finish in the fall of 2022 and a pole back in the spring race, leading 39 laps. For FRM, the organization has six Top-5s and 21 Top-10s, including a historic 1-2 finish with David Ragan and David Gilliand in the 2013 spring race. (more…)

Promising Talent Annunziata Aspires New Chapter with Burtin Racing in Top Trans Am Class

Alton, VIRGINIA – October 1, 2024 – The Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli heads to Virginia International Raceway where Burtin Racing partners with Thomas Annunziata to debut his first TA1 class race with the Series in the No. 17 Criswell Chevrolet / Castrol Chevrolet Camaro. The SpeedTour event is slated for October 3 – 6 as the 2024 season is winding down to a close.

Annunziata steps into the Burtin Racing seat formerly piloted by Adam Andretti who successfully scored a race win at the team’s home track at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta and a podium finish at Lime Rock Park. Although the program had multiple mechanical ailments throughout the season, Andretti delivered solid driving and promotion for the team despite the back luck.

Ross Chastain won the Cup race with Middletown, CT’s Joey Logano coming in 14^th followed by Corey LaJoie and Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT while Boston’s Kaz Grala was awarded 31st place. Corey Lajoie is the son of two-time Xfinity Champion Randy Lajoie who resided in Norwalk, CT before moving south to NC.

Aric Almirola won the Xfinity race while Parker Kligerman of Westport, CT finished 12th with Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT came in 15th. Kyle Weatherman placed 26^th with Blain Perkins 28^th and Long island’s Patrick Emerling of Long Island, NY got 30th place. Weatherman and Perkins both drive team cars for Cape Cod’s Chris and Mary Our who call Chatham, MA home.

Layne Riggs Returns to the Kansas Speedway with Infinity Communications

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (September 24, 2024) – Layne Riggs returns to the Kansas Speedway this weekend with Infinity Communications in search of his third straight win.

In the last four races, Riggs has earned two 5th-place finishes and two wins, most recently at the Bristol Motor Speedway last Thursday. Riggs and the No. 38 Ford F-150 team look to continue their streak of Top-5 finishes this weekend at the Kansas Speedway and best their May finish at the 1.5-mile track. (more…)

Not so fortunate was Joey Logano of Middletown, CT came in 28^th with Corey LaJoie 36^th and Boston’s Kaz Grala ending his day in 37th. Corey LaJoie is the son of Two-Time Xfinity Titleist Randy LaJoie who grew up in Norwalk, CT before moving to Charlotte, NC to be closer to the NASCAR Hub.

Cole Custer won the Xfinity race with Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT ending up 11th while Parker Kligerman of Westport, CT finished 16th, Blain Perkins ended his day in 22nd with Kyle Weatherman was awarded 26^th place. Perkins and Weatherman both drive team cars for Cape Cod’s Chris Our and his daughter Mary Our who reside in Chatham, MA.
