Statement from New Hampshire Motor Speedway Executive Vice President and General Manager David McGrath on the Passing of Bruton Smith:
“This is certainly a sad day for our Speedway Motorsports family, but it also gives us all a chance to reflect on the many contributions that Bruton Smith made both here at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and to our entire sport. I learned so much from him, and I always enjoyed our conversations any time he was at the speedway. His motto was always ‘We work for the fans,’ and we will continue to do just that as a way to honor his legacy. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Smith family.”
