BOWLING GREEN, KY, August 9, 2024 – The National Corvette Museum is excited to announce that final preparations are in full swing for the highly anticipated National Corvette Caravan and the Museum’s 30th Anniversary Celebration, set to take place during Labor Day weekend.
This monumental event, slated for August 28 through September 1, 2024, promises to be a spectacular gathering of Corvette enthusiasts from across the nation and around the globe.
The National Corvette Caravan, a tradition that began with the Museum’s grand opening in 1994, will once again see thousands of Corvette owners and fans embark on a thrilling journey to Bowling Green, KY. Participants will converge at various starting points across the United States, culminating in an unforgettable arrival at the Museum.
“As the event before the event, the National Corvette Caravan becomes a rolling car show from all points around the country, organized and fueled by some of our biggest supporters,” shared Bryce Burklow, National Corvette Museum Interim Chief Operating Officer. “Our 30th Anniversary Celebration marks a significant milestone for the National Corvette Museum and reflects three decades of preserving and celebrating Corvette—America’s Sports Car.”
Beginning on Wednesday, August 28, the arrival of the National Corvette Caravan will be a spectacle in itself, with thousands of Corvettes caravanning to Bowling Green, KY. With help from the Bowling Green Convention and Visitors Bureau – a supporter of the Museum since it opened – Corvette fans and the local community will be part of an incredible Corvette takeover, which includes temporarily replacing flags at the Beautifi-65 welcome sign installations, with checkered flags to provide a sense of arrival to the participants as they come into Warren County.
Another exciting, community-centric moment will see Generation Radio serve as the headlining act for the closing concert on August 31. This all-star band, featuring members from Rascal Flatts, Chicago, and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, promises an unforgettable night of rock ‘n’ roll. Circus Square Park in downtown Bowling Green, KY, will host the concert. The venue opens at 5:30 pm CT, followed by the opening act at 6:30 pm CT, and Generation Radio performing at 8:30 pm CT. This free event is open to all National Corvette Caravan and Anniversary attendees and the community. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, as no seating will be provided, and to visit the Downtown Bowling Green Parking Guide for more information on parking options. Food trucks will be available throughout the venue as well.
