N. Woodstock, NH — It has all come down to one last Saturday night in the Pemigewasset Valley of New Hampshire. Thunder is ready to roar across the peaks for the final time in 2024 during Championship Night at White Mountain Motorsports Park as five track champions are officially crowned for their season-long efforts on the North Woodstock highbanks along with a special King of the Kids showdown for the Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Kid’s Division on Saturday!
At the top of the list comes the King of the Mountain track championship battle in the Foley Oil & Propane Late Models. Rising star Tanner Woodard currently sits twenty-four points ahead of nine-time track champion Quinny Welch in the tally. While Woodard is looking to complement his 2022 Flying Tiger track championship at White Mountain, Welch is in the hunt for #10 amidst a full-on fight for the Rookie of the Year title between former Tiger standouts Colin Cornell and Thomas Smithers, VI.
Speaking of the Fisher Auto Parts Flying Tigers, Brandon Gray sealed up the championship chase last Saturday during the Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Fall Foliage 200. With one final event to go, Gray would love nothing more than to make it 14 for 14 on the year while Luke Peters, top rookie Kyle Willis, Tyler Pepin and Nate Hamblett will be looking to give the Tiger King a run for his money this Saturday!
White Mountain’s two four-cylinder divisions have a monopoly on down-to-the-wire championship chases on Saturday night starting with the Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Minis. Littleton’s Todd Derrington holds a mere two-point lead over Woodsville’s Patrick Switser with Derrington looking to both hold on to the title and also take his first win of the season! The Ammonoosuc Asphalt Mini Late Models also have a two-point stand-off for the championship between Nick Anderson and Nick Miller. Both Nick’s have taken two wins on the season while Anderson’s focus is on a second championship in the division, Miller is looking for his first.
The Wayne’s Market Dwarf Cars have been in the palm of Andy Hill’s hand with the former champion returning to the division in 2024. Five wins this season have helped give him a 29-point lead ahead of defending champ Jason Wyman with Jeff Ainsworth also in the hunt. The Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Kid’s Division will also have their last hurrah of the season with the King of the Kids showdown presented by C.W. Gray & Sons Auctioneer Inc.!
