ENEOS Becomes Official Motor Oil of the ERC

Japanese lubricants giant backs Europe’s premier rally series ahead of 2025 season opener

Just days out from the start of the 2025 FIA European Rally Championship (ERC) season, the continent’s premier rally series welcomes onboard ENEOS as its Official Motor Oil.

Partner of the FIA European Rally Championship, ENEOS, Japan’s largest oil company, is a global leader in premium motor oils and lubricants and will demonstrate the superior quality of its motor oils under extreme conditions in the ERC. The brand already has a foothold in Europe through the sponsorship of the likes of leading Italian football club AC Milan and Moto GP Yamaha racing team.

“As a championship, the ERC tackles some of the most demanding roads on the continent, making it the perfect platform for ENEOS Motor oil to demonstrate the strength and durability of their products,” reflected ERC Manager Iain Campbell. “Furthermore, bringing on a partner from Japan highlights the global appeal of our championship.”

The 2025 ERC season gets under way this Thursday, 3 April, with the 42nd Rally Sierra Morena – Córdoba Patrimonio de la Humanidad opening the eight-round calendar for the first time. Located in the Andalusia region of Spain, the 2025 debutant event, which uses all-asphalt stages, has attracted a field of more than 80 competitors with 64 eligible for ERC points.

Run for the first time in 1953, the ERC is the oldest rally championship in the world. As well as being the established feeder series for the FIA World Rally Championship, the ERC is a proving ground for manufacturers such as Citroën, Ford, Hyundai, Opel, Peugeot, Renault, Škoda and Toyota.
