Third place changed hands multiple times, with Andretti and Menard swapping the spot twice in the first 20 laps. It was ultimately Andretti who would claim the final spot on the podium, as Menard suffered from a flat left-front tire late in the event, which relegated him back to an eighth-place finish. Fourth through six was determined on the final lap, with a three-way battle between Amy Ruman (No. 23 McNichols Co./Valley Automotive Group Chevrolet Corvette), Tomy Drissi (No. 8 Trench Shoring Co./Motul Chevrolet Camaro) and Brandon Jones (No. 21 Menards/Masterforce Tools Ford Mustang) commencing when the white flag waved. In an exciting final swap of positions, Drissi and Jones both slid past Ruman, with Drissi taking fourth and Jones rounding out the top five. “First of all, I want to say thank you so much to my team for preparing two great cars here,” said Dyson in GYM WEED Winners Circle. “This is the second weekend in a row with a 1-2 finish. That’s a really special thing for us as drivers to know that we’ve got cars that can go out and race up front together. I want to say a particular thanks to my young son, Ian, who’s here today. It’s his first time ever here at Road America. It’s a memorable, memorable relationship that my family has here with this track. For me, it goes back almost 40 years, and I just love this place more and more. Every year we come here, it just gets more special, more meaningful. The No. 16 GYM WEED car was an absolute thrill to drive. I want to say thanks to the fans for being out here and supporting us every year, and thanks to the team.” TA Top Five: 1.
