CREWS AT WATKINS GLEN: Brent Crews will make his second career ARCA Menards Series start at Watkins Glen International this weekend. In his first start in 2023, Crews qualified and finished in third place. The race marked the first ARCA Menards Series start of his career, as he now returns with four career wins in the series’ national platform.
IOWA RECAP: After setting the series’ track record to secure the pole in qualifying, Crews spent his entire day in the top-two, going on to lead 38 laps in the process. Despite a close battle with Brenden Queen for most of the night, Crews ended up coming home as the runner-up.
DOUBLE-DUTY: In addition to Friday afternoon’s General Tire 150 at The Glen, Crews will also participate in the subsequent NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event that evening. Crews will pilot the No. 70 Toyota Tundra for his personal team, Brent Crews Motorsports. Friday will mark his new team’s debut in the series and his first NCTS start at Watkins Glen.
17-YEAR-OLD OWNER: Crews announced the launch of Brent Crews Motorsports last week, which will debut this weekend in Watkins Glen in the No. 70 truck. Set to run limited races, the newfound team will continue Crews’ ties with Toyota, as the team will run a Toyota Tundra moving forward.
BUILDING HIS RESUME: The 17-year-old arrives at JGR with a rapidly growing list of accomplishments, including three CARS Late Model Tour victories, multiple dirt midget victories, and holds the records for both the youngest champion and race winner in the Trans-Am TA2 ProAM series at just 14 years old. Most recently, Crews scored a coveted Golden Driller win in the Tulsa Shootout Non-Wing A-Feature to add to an already impressive resume.
