  • Avid runners and motorsports enthusiasts alike took over the Indy Toronto street course for the third edition of the Rev & Run 5k on Friday, July 18. We chatted with co-race directors Kevin Silva and Heather Page about this year’s Rev & Run, including the racing connections and charitable aspect, plus their plans for 2026, including a visit to the Motorama Custom Car & Motorsports Expo.
  • The Civic Weekend Clash took over Sauble Speedway on the August long weekend. We interviewed Kyle Steckly after his win in the APC 100 for the APC United Late Model Series.
  • The Sauble weekend also included consecutive days of racing for the Outlaw MidgetsCan Am Midgets, and a combined Ontario Legend Car Series and Great Lakes Legends Series field. We interviewed winners Mike Bradley (Outlaws race one), Jessica James (Outlaws race two), Daniel Hawn (Can Am race one), and James Stanley (Can Am race two). Mitch Wright swept the Legend Car races; we spoke with him after race one and race two.

Formula One: Norris Wins In Hungary To Close Points Gap

Lando Norris used a clever one-stop strategy to score McLaren’s 200th Formula One victory and the team’s seventh 1-2 finish of the season at the Hungarian Grand Prix. Norris’ fifth win of 2025 moved him to within nine points of his teammate Oscar Piastri in the drivers points. Jeff Pappone reports.

 

 

Fox Corporation Acquires One-Third Interest in Penske Entertainment

Penske Entertainment and Fox Corporation, parent company of FOX Sports, announced FOX’s acquisition of a one-third interest in Penske Entertainment, encompassing INDYCAR and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The deal also includes a multi-year extension of INDYCAR’s media rights.

 

 

IndyCar: Palou Wins Eighth Race Of Season At Laguna Seca

Alex Palou took the victory at the Grand Prix of Monterey after starting on pole, alongside Pato O’Ward, the driver with the best chance of challenging him for the 2025 NTT INDYCAR title. But instead of being conservative at the green flag, Palou charged ahead, leading into the first turn and staying ahead for 84 of the 95 laps. Mary Bignotti Mendez reports.

Targa Newfoundland: The Rocket is back to race the Rock again

Professional racing legend Randy “The Rocket” Pobst, from Georgia, has twice claimed the Targa 1 title with different co-drivers and different cars. This fall, he’s back for a third straight year, joining Paul Abbott in the MINI GP racing under the name Mini Maxi Rally Team.

CANADIAN SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP DOUBLEHEADER AT CANADIAN TIRE MOTORSPORT PARK – HAPPENING THIS WEEKEND… Canada’s top two-wheeled racers take over CTMP’s legendary Grand Prix circuit on the Superbike Doubleheader Weekend, August 8-10. The country’s biggest motorcycle road racing event features two rounds of the Bridgestone Canadian National Superbike Championship (CSBK). Other national classes on the schedule include the Pro Sportbike, Amateur Superbike, Amateur Sportbike, Twins, Ninja ZX-4RR Cup and Lightweight.
