The Franklin County Fire Chief has three champ car wins on the Illinois dirt miles, two at Du Quoin and one at Springfield. This year, Cockrum teams with long time USAC car owner Hans Lein in search of a second Bettenhausen trophy. Cockrum is part of a stellar field that rolls into the Illinois State Fairgrounds on Saturday for the 62nd Bettenhausen 100.

Salisbury, NC (August 11, 2025) – ARCA Menards Series and NASCAR Mexico Challenge Series champion, Andrés Pérez de Lara, has inked a deal to complete the remainder of the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) season with Niece Motorsports beginning this weekend at Richmond Raceway.
The latest addition to the organization’s driver lineup comes on the heels of Pérez de Lara’s former team, Spire Motorsports, announcing his permission to seek other opportunities outside of the No. 77 entry where he completed the first 17 races of the year.
