JENNERSTOWN, Pa. — Justin Bonsignore and Doug Coby are no strangers to running at the front of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour field. The two of them have combined to win eight of the last nine championships on NASCAR’s oldest touring series — and on Saturday night — they fought hard in the final two laps to decide the winner of the Jennerstown Salutes 150 presented by DGV on Memorial Day weekend.
JENNERSTOWN, Pa. — Doug Coby nearly made it two consecutive NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour victories on Saturday evening at Jennerstown Speedway, but came up just short in the Jennerstown Salutes 150 presented by DGV, finishing second.

HOLTSVILLE, N.Y. — Justin Bonsignore returns to Jennerstown Speedway this Saturday, May 29, for a special night of NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour action. In the Jennerstown Salutes 150 presented by DGV, honoring veterans who were lost in war, Bonsignore will carry the name of Air Force Staff Sergeant David A. Wieger, who passed away in war in 2007 — when his vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device. (more…)
It certainly didn’t come easy for former three-time Buzz Chew Chevrolet NASCAR Modified champion John Fortin Sr. of Holtsville Saturday night at Riverhead Raceway but when all was said and done at the conclusion of 50-laps the 57-year-old elder statesman of the division earned his 35th career victory. Afterwards in victory lane Fortin briefly hinted the victory might also be his very last race noting “I want to go out on top, I have to really think about it I’d like to see a young kid in this car” (more…)

HOLTSVILLE, N.Y. — On Saturday, May 15, at Riverhead Raceway, Justin Bonsignore led 175 laps and finished third in the Miller Lite 200. The third-place finish broke a streak of four consecutive Riverhead wins for the two-time NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion — but the solid finish helped him gain some crucial ground in the point standings in chase of a third title. With summer like conditions greeting the Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series and NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour teams Saturday evening at Riverhead Raceway there was plenty of hot action on track too prior to the Miller Lite 200 WMT event. A total of 90 cars spread across four divisions joined the 26 WMT entrants pit side. Second generation driver Matt Brode scored his first win of 2021 when he won the 25-lap Eagle Auto Mall Crate Modified feature event. (more…)
