DAYTONA BEACH, Florida (October 30, 2024) – A quality and sure-to-be competitive field of more than 140 vintage and historic sports cars from the last 60-plus years has converged on Daytona International Speedway (DIS) for the 10th Running of the HSR Daytona Classic 24 Hour Presented by Mission Foods this weekend at DIS, October 30 – November 3. A stout entry of defending and former race winners and debuting contenders is set for the Classic 24 Saturday and Sunday in addition to a strong lineup for the HSR Daytona Historics, which is a points-paying event for HSR’s season-long racing series and championships. Fan Voting for the 2025 DAYTONA 500 Trioval Grass Design Kicks Off Today

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Oct. 30, 2024) – Starting today, the voting period for the Trioval Grass Design for the 2025 DAYTONA 500 has begun. This serves as the tenth consecutive year fans can cast their vote for their favorite Trioval Grass Design to be displayed during the 67^th running of The Great American Race on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025.

Voting is open now through Friday, Nov. 8. Fans can click here to submit their vote for one of the three creative designs and are encouraged to share their choice via Facebook and X (Twitter). The unveiling of the winning design will take place in January 2025.

Mission Foods and Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) Finalize Long-Term Partnership

DAYTONA BEACH, Florida (October 29, 2024) – Just over a month after Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) announced its new HSR Classic Endurance Championship, a North American food industry giant and motorsports sponsorship leader has been named the presenting partner.

The HSR Classic Endurance Championship Presented by Mission Foods debuts in 2025 in a long-term partnership supporting the first major endurance race championship in the U.S. for vintage and historic sports cars. Competitors and race fans alike, however, will get a preview experience of the new Mission Foods championship this weekend at the 10th Running of the HSR Daytona Classic 24 Hour Presented by Mission Foods, October 30 – November 3. Danny Efland to Lead Harrison Burton at AM Racing in 2025

STATESVILLE, N.C.: AM Racing happily announced today the addition of Danny Efland, who will serve as crew chief for recently announced 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Harrison Burton, beginning with the season-opener at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway on February 15, 2025.

Efland will arrive at AM Racing after a stint at LEGACY MOTOR CLUB, where the former NASCAR Xfinity Series driver served as the lead engineer for the No. 43 Cup Series car driven by Erik Jones. (more…)

Magnus Racing To Pause After Rolex 24

Harrison Burton won the Cup race at Daytona while Joey Logano of Middletown, CT ended his night in 31^{st. Also} Corey LaJoie did even worse with a 34^th position and Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT ended up 39^th going out early in that race. LaJoie is the son of two-time Xfinity Champion Randy LaJoie who grew up in Norwalk, CT before moving to the Charlotte, NC area.

‘Fantastic’ Diffey Receives High Praise for NASCAR Call

NASCAR has countless famous commentary moments and Diffey’s line at the chequered flag – “Jeff, your little boy has done it!” – looks to be the latest.

Even Denny Hamlin, a veteran of nearly two decades in the Cup Series, said the spine-tingling call had him up and about.

Historic Daytona Finish: Burton and Wood Brothers Triumph

Harrison Burton outdueled veteran Kyle Busch on the final lap of an Overtime finish of Saturday night’s Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway to score his first career Cup Series victory and the 100th for his Wood Brothers team.

The win earned Burton and the Wood Brothers a berth in the 10-race, championship-deciding Playoffs, which begin after next week’s Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway. (more…)

RACE RUNDOWN: Austin Cindric finished 18th in Saturday night’s Coke Zero Sugar 400 after a late-race incident put a damper on his stout performance throughout the night.
