WHAT: In an initiative that underscores its commitment to financial empowerment and community support, MoneyLion partnered up with 23XI Racing and NASCAR driver Tyler Reddick on August 23, 2024. The collaboration will make a meaningful impact on the local Daytona community. Together, they donated $10,000 to Turie T. Small Elementary School in Daytona Beach, FL, to help ease the financial burden of the back-to-school season for teachers, parents and students.
WHEN: On Friday, August 23 at the elementary school, Tyler Reddick met with fourth and fifth-grade students and spoke about his journey into racing. He also highlighted the importance of pursuing their dreams and concluded with some additional Q&A from the students.
WHY: MoneyLion recognizes the significant costs and financial stress associated with back-to-school preparations, including school supplies, backpacks and classroom decorations. This donation aims to alleviate some of these expenses and support local teachers, parents and students as they prepare for the new school year. This donation is part of MoneyLion’s mission to empower everyone to make their best financial decisions – especially milestone moments like back-to-school season.
ADDITIONAL INITIATIVE: Along with this donation, MoneyLion has launched its “Back-to-School Teacher Appreciation Hotline,” which is happening now until August 30th. This campaign invites the public to call 1-888-626-0071 and leave a message nominating a teacher or school administrator who deserves recognition. At the end of the campaign, one teacher or administrator will be selected to receive a $1,000 bonus as a token of appreciation. For full details and official rules, visit MoneyLion’s website here.

About 23XI Racing
23XI Racing – pronounced twenty-three eleven – was founded by NBA legend Michael Jordan and three-time Daytona 500 winner Denny Hamlin in 2020. With rising NASCAR star Bubba Wallace selected to drive the No. 23 Toyota Camry, the team made its NASCAR Cup Series debut in the 2021 Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway. Wallace made history on October 4, 2021, when he captured his first career Cup Series win, becoming just the second African American to win in the Cup Series, and earning 23XI its first-ever victory. 23XI expanded to a two-car organization in 2022 with Cup Series Champion Kurt Busch driving the No. 45 Toyota Camry. With a win at Kansas Speedway in May of 2022, Busch earned 23XI the team’s first-ever playoff berth. 23XI currently features the lineup of Bubba Wallace in the No. 23 Toyota Camry and Tyler Reddick in the No. 45 Toyota Camry. In 2023, both Wallace and Reddick earned spots in the NASCAR Playoffs. The team operates out of Airspeed, a state-of-the-art facility in Huntersville, N.C. that opened in January of 2024.
