  • The Alpine ELF Cup Series returned with Charles Roussanne (VPS Racing) winning both races at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
  • Alexandre Gadois (Schumacher CLRT) and Thibaut Bossy (Herrero Racing) shared the honours in the Challengers category, as did Philippe Bourgois (Race Cars Consulting) and Frédéric de Brabant (Chazel Technologie Course) among the Gentlemen.
  • Overall leader Charles Roussanne will have his first chance to secure the title at Circuit Paul Ricard (4-6 October)

Stafford SK Light Graduates Top Premier SK Modified® Division

(Stafford Springs, CT)—When Stafford Speedway created the SK Light division prior to the start of the 2006 season, the intent of the division was to provide not only a less expensive open wheel alternative to the track’s premier SK Modified® division, but to serve as a stepping stone to the premier division.  Fast forward 18 years and one look at the 2024 SK Modified® standings will show that the stepping stone vision has been realized and then some.  The top-5 drivers in the 2024 standings are all SK Light graduates, and going even further, 8 of the top-10 drivers in the standings got their open wheel starts in the SK Light division.

Richard Childress Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series at Watkins Glen International… Richard Childress Racing has two NASCAR Cup Series victories at Watkins Glen International. Robby Gordon won the 2003 event, leading the final 30 laps and scoring his third victory with RCR over the span of three seasons. Kevin Harvick captured the 2006 race at the New York road course, edging Tony Stewart for the victory, and claiming his first win at Watkins Glen. The victory was Harvick’s first on a road course and came in his 200th career Cup start. Dale Earnhardt won three poles (1990, 1992, 1996) for the Welcome, N.C.-based organization. Santino Ferrucci will drive the No. 14 for AJ Foyt Racing in 2025, the team announced Sept. 12.

WHAT: The Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation (CRSF), in partnership with Andretti INDYCAR  and Group 1001 will host a STEM event for 50 elementary school students at the  Nashville Superspeedway.
