Lime Rock Sunday in the Park Honors Skip Barber with Special Celebration
LAKEVILLE, CONN. (31 August 2025)-Â Beneath a sky painted with white, fluffy clouds and framed by the rolling green of the Berkshire Mountains, Lime Rock Park came alive with a spectacular display of automotive excellence on Sunday.
Nearly a thousand vintage cars and motorcycles lined the historic circuit for Sunday in The Park, creating a scene as timeless as the machines themselves.

At last year’s SpeedTour, Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont, Senator Richard Blumenthal, and Representative Maria Horn joined fans, friends, fellow racers, and the Lime Rock Park ownership group to honor a true racing legend. Together, they presented Skip Barber with a framed proclamation officially declaring August 31 as Skip Barber Day in the State of Connecticut.
This year, the celebration falls on Sunday in the Park, our Concours d’Elegance and Gathering of the Marques—making the day even more special.

Posey, Barber, Guthrie, Dyson’s & Maggiacomo’s To Be Honored At Legends Day At New England Racing Museum
LOUDON, NH: The museum’s annual Legends Day event will take place on Sunday November 17th at the New England Racing Museum (922 Rt. 106, Loudon, NH). Headlining will be seven road racers who had major success across the New England region. Sam Posey, Skip Barber, Janet Guthrie, Rob Dyson, Chris Dyson, Jocko Maggiacomo Sr and Jocko Maggiacomo Jr will be honored. The event will include an honoree panel discussion, permanent banner unveiling and a buffet lunch. A VIP ticket is available in which you can meet the attending honorees in a small group setting for a photo opportunity, join a private museum tour led by founder Dick Berggren and premier event seating. The event is supported by Lime Rock Park and Thompson Speedway and is a fundraiser for the nonprofit museum. (more…)
Mercedes-AMG Motorsport Customer Racing Teams Regulator Racing and CRP Racing Secure Three Mercedes-AMG GT3 Race Wins in SRO America Competition at Barber Motorsports Park to Bolster Season-Championship Chances
BIRMINGHAM, Alabama – Mercedes-AMG Motorsport Customer Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 teams Regulator Racing and CRP Racing combined for victories in three of the four Fanatec GT World Challenge America and GT America races contested this weekend at Barber Motorsports Park. Jeff Burton and Philip Ellis co-drove the No. 91 Regulator Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 to their second Fanatec GT World Challenge America Pro-Am class race win Sunday to tighten the championship race between the top three contenders heading into next month’s season-ending race weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. In GT America, Jason Daskalos reclaimed the overall championship lead with a weekend sweep of both 40-minute sprint races in the No. 27 CRP Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3. (more…)
Lizards Return to Alabama for Barber Double Header
BIRMINGHAM, AL., (September 4, 2024) – Momentum is on the side of Flying Lizard Motorsports as the multi-effort racing team heads to Barber Motorsports Park after an eight-year SRO America absence from the scenic circuit. The Phoenix, Arizona-based team has enjoyed back-to-back podium weekends across their GT America, GT4 America, and GT World Challenge America and journeys to Birmingham, Alabama for another weekend filled with sports car racing.
Flying Lizard has had successes at the circuit before, including a 2015 victory with 24Â Hours of Le Mans Winner and FIA World Endurance Championship champion Kevin Estre.
We are getting close to the end of the 2024 season and are looking forward to a return to the Barber Motorsports track. This is a tricky circuit because there are not many straightaways, most corners are tight and put a lot of load on the front of the car. We have had success here in the past and always like coming to this beautiful facility. (more…)
Wright Motorsports Prepared for Battle at Barber
BIRMINGHAM, AL., (September 3, 2024) —Â Eight years have passed since SRO America last held an event at Barber Motorsports Park and this weekend, the Fanatec GT World Challenge America returns to Birmingham, Alabama for the penultimate event of the 2024 season. The competition will intensify at the picturesque circuit as Wright Motorsports aims to keep a tight grasp on the PRO-class championship point lead with the No. 120 Porsche 911 GT3 R.
“It’s great to be returning back to Barber,” said Team Owner John Wright. “Not only is the facility beautiful, but it offers some great racing as well. It’ll be interesting to see how quickly everyone gets up to speed at a track we haven’t raced at in some years. We’ve had decent success here in the past. After our recent test here, we are ready to get down to business and hopefully keep growing that championship points lead.” (more…)
