The Cannonball Baker Sea-to-Shining-Sea Memorial Trophy Dash, widely known as the Cannonball Baker or Cannonball Run, was an unofficial, unsanctioned automobile race that captured the rebellious spirit of 1970s America. Run five times between 1971 and 1979, this legendary cross-country sprint stretched from the East Coast to the Portofino Inn in Redondo Beach, California, starting initially from New York City and later from Darien, Connecticut.

Riverhead Raceway 2025 Modified Title To Be Decided At NASCAR Night Of Champions Saturday Night

The race for the 2025 NASCAR Modifieds championship will feature three main players for the 50-lap regular season finale Saturday at Riverhead Raceway, a mere ten points separating first through third. Additionally, three other 2025 track champions will celebrate a championship by the end of the program. Originally the 2025 champions for all seven divisions of the Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series were to be feted, however the September 6th WMT rain out moved the Eagle Chevrolet Crate Modifieds, Blunderbusts and INEX Legend Race Cars championship final to October 4th.

Group 1 Champions Crowned at Wiscasset Speedway

Unfortunately, summer has flown by in the blink of an eye and we are nearing the conclusion of the 2025 race season at Wiscasset Speedway. Team Wiscasset began their 3-event season sendoff on Saturday, hosting an action-packed program that included the Brackett’s Market 4-Cylinder Pros, Kennebec Equipment Rental Thunder 4 Minis, Davis Erector Group 207 Crate Modifieds, the visiting NELCAR Legends and double features for the Gosline Insurance Group Super Streets and Norm’s Used Cars Pro Stocks.

Lone Star Racing Shines from the Start Sunday in the Battle on the Bricks at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana (September 23, 2025) – The No. 80 Lone Star Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 team and debuting driver Lin Hodenius shined from the start of Sunday’s Battle on the Bricks IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship six-hour race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS). The convincing race-opening performance, which saw Hodenius lead the first 44 laps for more than hour, was the highlight of a weekend-long “no quit” showing at IMS by everyone on the Lone Star Racing team and its driving trio of Scott Andrews, Wyatt Brichacek and Hodenius.

Kudos All ‘Round, IMSA Clean Sweep Still Possible; Road Course Love

INDIANAPOLIS – As the 2026 TireRack.com Battle On The Bricks slated to be a 2-hour and 40-minute race, Sunday was the last time the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship runs a six-hour race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the foreseeable future. It went out with a “bang.”
