Kaden Honeycutt Named Driver of Halmar Friesen Racing Truck Series Entry After Watkins Glen

Kaden Honeycutt after Z-Max CARS Tour WinSTATESVILLE, NC. (August 5, 2025) – Kaden Honeycutt will fill in for Stewart Friesen for the balance of the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series season in the No. 52 Halmar International Toyota Tundra TRD Pro starting with next weekend’s race at Richmond Raceway.

Friesen was injured while competing in a Super DIRTcar Series race at Canada’s Autrodrome Drummond on Monday, July 28. He was later transferred to a hospital in New York where he continues to make progress after undergoing several surgeries.

Spire MotorsportsSpire Motorsports will field four entries in the team’s first CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race at Watkins Glen (N.Y.) International. Connor Zilisch owns the team’s best finish on a road course, when he won the pole and finished fourth in his series debut last March at Circuit of the Americas. The Mooresville, N.C., organization fields the Nos. 07, 7, 71 and 77 Chevrolets full time in the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series. The Nos. 07 and 7 entries will see a rotating roster of all-star caliber drivers throughout the season, while Rajah Caruth and Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender Andres Perez de Lara will pilot the Nos. 71 and 77, respectively, for the full slate of races.

of TobyChristie reports that Stewart Friesen, a full-time competitor in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, has been transported to a local hospital following an accident in a Super DIRTcar Series event at Autodrome Drummond on Monday.

The incident occurred during a feature event at the Drummondville, Quebec-based racetrack when Friesen was in a three-wide battle and went wide on the straightaway, sending his Halmar International-sponsored machine up the racetrack and towards the barrier.

Here’s Lou Modestino’s Track Talk column for this past weekend’s racing at Indianapolis, IN and Monterey, CA.

Bubba Wallace won the Cup Series race at the Brickyard. Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT came in 4th.  Joey Logano of Middletown, CT ended up 32nd.

Connor Zillisch won the Xfinity race while Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT came in 23rd.

Across town at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, the Craftsman Truck race was won Layne Riggs with Gio Ruggiero of Seekonk, MA having a tough day and ending up 28th.

Over on the west coast at Monterey, CA it was another Indycar win for Spain’s Alex Palou while Santino Ferrucci of Woodbury, CT had an off day and finished 22nd
