Toby Christie’s Joseph Srigley reports that Casey Mears, who hasn’t competed in a NASCAR Cup Series event in more than five years, will return to compete in the March 30 event at Martinsville Speedway. Mears will pilot the No. 66 Ford Mustang Dark Horse for Garage 66.
Mears is looking to achieve 500 career starts, Martinsville will bring Mears to within 10 starts of the milestone. (more…)

LAS VEGAS — Understandably, much of the focus during NASCAR’s tripleheader weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will fall squarely on Christopher Bell.
The driver of the No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota will become the first driver since Jimmie Johnson in 2007 to win four straight NASCAR Cup Series races, if he’s first to the finish line in Sunday’s Pennzoil 400 Presented by Jiffy Lube (3:30 p.m. ET on FS1, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).
One of the toughest tests of sports car endurance racing takes place with the 73rd Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, with nearly 60 cars and over 160 drivers set to tackle Sebring International Raceway’s legendary and notorious concrete bumps in a quest to win the second race of both the 2025 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and Michelin Endurance Cup seasons. Flag-to-flag coverage starts Saturday, March 15, at 10:00 a.m. on NBC Sports’ Peacock streaming platform through the conclusion of the race. NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson is one of the sport’s top drivers entering Sunday’s Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The 2021 series champion will also headline another race in Las Vegas, but not at the 1½-mile oval.
Larson is bringing the sprint car racing series he co-owns, High Limit Racing, to the ½-mile dirt track on the LVMS property. The series will take place Thursday and Saturday with racing beginning at 6:30 p.m both nights to open its 2025 season.

PHOENIX — From Christopher Bell’s remarkable third consecutive win of 2025 to the successful season debut of the option tire and a historic start for Katherine Legge—who became only the eighth woman to compete in NASCAR’s top level in more than 50 years—last weekend’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Phoenix Raceway was a pivotal early-season highlight.
And the reviews are positive.
Steller Motorsport completed the two-day Prologue at the Circuit Paul Ricard circuit ahead of the 2025 GT World Challenge Europe season, and confirmed an entry into this year’s Sprint Cup alongside its endurance campaign.
The team had already enjoyed a successful preseason testing programme, spending days at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and Circuit Paul Ricard in February to better understand the new Corvette Z06 GT3.R cars it is racing in 2025.
