BECHTELSVILLE, PA (June 13, 2023) – The NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series kicked off the Amsoil National-Touring USAC Non-Wing Sprint Car Series Eastern Storm on Tuesday night at Grandview Speedway in a spectacular double-header with the 358 Modifieds presented by Pioneer Pole Buildings.
After an unfortunate washout last week, Wiscasset Speedway returned to action on Saturday with an action-packed Group 2 racing program which included the T&L Automotive Modifieds, Portland Glass Strictly Streets, Kennebec Equipment Rental Outlaw Minis, Wood Pellet Warehouse Late Models and the visiting New England Pro 4 Modifieds.
SEEKONK, Mass. — Matt Hirschman sports his “Big Money” nickname in part because of the success he’s experienced racing Modifieds at Massachusetts’ Seekonk Speedway. When one grows up an aspiring race car driver on Long Island the ultimate goal is to win a NASCAR Modified event at Riverhead Raceway. Saturday night Chris Rogers of Patchogue attained that goal when he won the 50-lap Advanced Auto Parts Night event becoming the fifth Modified winner in five races to date in 2023. South Amherst, Ohio – (June 5, 2023) – Matt Hirschman of Northampton, Pa., scored his first victory in Race of Champions Modified Series competition this past Saturday night at Lorain Raceway Park in South Amherst, Ohio in the “Mr. Modified 75”, the Series first visit to the track. In Hirschman’s career, it was the 35th different track for him to record a win at and the 11th different state where he’s visited victory lane.
If Friday night’s Hoosier Hundred had been a standard 100-lap affair, the closing scene very well might’ve been played out to a completely different ending for Bobby Santos.
However, at a distance of 146 laps and 100 miles, this one at Indiana’s Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park was anything but standard no matter which way you dissect it. (more…)
Thousands of fans rolled into Wiscasset Speedway on Sunday for the biggest Late Model race of the year, the Coastal 200. The $10,000 to win race, presented by Coldbrook Trailers and GT Overhead Doors, is one of the marquee events of the race season and always draws some of the biggest names in the Northeast. This year was no different as Eddie MacDonald, Mike Hopkins and 3-time Coastal 200 winner Ben Ashline were among those in the field.
