Fred Lorenzen, a thinking man’s racer who became one of NASCAR’s biggest money winners during the sport’s rise in the 1960s, has died. The NASCAR Hall of Famer was 89.
Lorenzen’s passing was confirmed by his family. The former driver had battled dementia in his later years. (more…)

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (Dec. 9, 2024) – A diverse motorsports career that began more than 40 years ago and continues to this day has earned racing team owner and Los Angeles native Rick Ware a place in the West Coast Stock Car/Motorsports Hall of Fame Class of 2025.
JR Motorsports announced today that Virginia native Connor Hall will be the new driver behind the wheel of the No. 88 Chevrolet for the organization’s championship-winning Late Model program. DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (September 24, 2024) – The path to the title may have been different this year versus last, but at the end the results were the same, as Langley Speedway-based Connor Hall captured his second consecutive NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series championship.
A year after Hall became the first Langley driver to win the championship in the top division of the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series in the 74-year history of the track, he became the first to repeat. The feeling was just as sweet the second time around.

GREENVILLE, S.C. (September 6, 2024) – The Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame has announced that JACKSON’s Nate Hunt has been appointed to serve on the ORMHOF Board of Directors. Hunt, Motorsports Race Operations Director for JACKSON, will be joining off-road historian Jim Bramham and Rebelle Rally founder Emily Miller as new members on ORMHOF’s board of directors.
“Each of these individuals is highly accomplished in their area of expertise as it relates to off-road,” said ORMHOF chairman Mark McMillin, “and we are fortunate that they have agreed to share their time and knowledge to benefit the Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame.” (more…)
