MOORESVILLE, N.C. (October 25,2025) – Sam Hunt Racing (SHR) announces today that the organization will expand to two full-time entries in 2026, both with full-time drivers. Dean Thompson, who broke multiple organizational records in his rookie NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) Season, will return to the No. 26 GR Supra. Harrison Burton, a NASCAR Cup Series winner and 2025 NXS playoff driver, will pilot the No. 24 GR Supra full-time.

Christopher Bell and Mobil 1 Join Forces With Sam Hunt Racing for the NASCAR Xfinity Series Race in Mexico City
MOORESVILLE, N.C. (May 13, 2025) — Sam Hunt Racing (SHR) announces today that NASCAR Cup Series standout Christopher Bell will pilot the No. 24 Mobil 1 GR Supra at the upcoming NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) race in Mexico City. The Chilango 150 will take place at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez on Saturday, June 14th.
Patrick Staropoli to Make NASCAR Xfinity Debut at Martinsville with Sam Hunt Racing
As reported by Toby Christie, Patrick Staropoli, a 35-year-old retina surgeon, will make his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut next weekend at Martinsville Speedway as he’ll drive the No. 24 Toyota GR Supra for Sam Hunt Racing. The Martinsville race will be part of a multi-race deal between Staropoli and the SHR team.
Staropoli will carry primary sponsorship from SYFOVRE (pegcetacoplan injection) on his race car. The surgeon who is also a race car driver is excited for the opportunity to compete with the Sam Hunt Racing team.
“It’s a dream come true to make my NASCAR Xfinity Series debut at Martinsville Speedway,” said Staropoli in a press release. “Really thankful to Sam Hunt for this opportunity and all the work the team is putting in so we can take a fast No. 24 Syfovre GR Supra to the racetrack.”

Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame taps JACKSON’s Hunt for Board Position
