Patrick Staropoli to Make NASCAR Xfinity Debut at Martinsville with Sam Hunt Racing

As reported by Toby Christie, Patrick Staropoli, a 35-year-old retina surgeon, will make his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut next weekend at Martinsville Speedway as he’ll drive the No. 24 Toyota GR Supra for Sam Hunt Racing. The Martinsville race will be part of a multi-race deal between Staropoli and the SHR team.

Staropoli will carry primary sponsorship from SYFOVRE (pegcetacoplan injection) on his race car. The surgeon who is also a race car driver is excited for the opportunity to compete with the Sam Hunt Racing team.

“It’s a dream come true to make my NASCAR Xfinity Series debut at Martinsville Speedway,” said Staropoli in a press release. “Really thankful to Sam Hunt for this opportunity and all the work the team is putting in so we can take a fast No. 24 Syfovre GR Supra to the racetrack.”

Ryan Truex Rejoins Sam Hunt Racing for 2025 Xfinity Opener at Daytona

Andrew Kim of SpeedwayMedia reports that Ryan Truex will be returning to Sam Hunt Racing (SHR) to pilot the organization’s No. 24 Toyota Supra entry sponsored by BB Printing Co. for the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series’ season-opening event at Daytona International Speedway.

Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame taps JACKSON’s Hunt for Board Position

GREENVILLE, S.C. (September 6, 2024) – The Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame has announced that JACKSON’s Nate Hunt has been appointed to serve on the ORMHOF Board of Directors. Hunt, Motorsports Race Operations Director for JACKSON, will be joining off-road historian Jim Bramham and Rebelle Rally founder Emily Miller as new members on ORMHOF’s board of directors.
