DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Feb. 11, 2021) – Florida native Aric Almirola drove to a convincing victory in the opening Bluegreen Vacations Duel at Daytona qualifying race Thursday night at Daytona International Speedway.
Almirola’s No. 10 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford led a dominating 52 of the 60 laps and held off Christopher Bell’s No 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota by a mere .041-seconds for the Tampa native’s first victory in the DAYTONA 500 field-setting race. (more…)

Riley Herbst begins 2021 with the familiar colors of Monster Energy, but in a new make with a number. He takes over the No. 98 Ford Mustang from Chase Briscoe, who scored nine wins in 2020. Herbst made the move to Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR) after spending the 2019-2020 seasons with Joe Gibbs Racing. This will be Herbst’s first year behind the wheel of a Ford Mustang. (more…)
Daniel Hemric owns one top-10 finish in five career NASCAR Xfinity Series starts at Daytona International Speedway. Last summer, he started seventh and finished 24th at the World Center of Racing after being collected in a multi-car accident. Hemric is a former pole winner at Daytona and has started inside the top five in four of his five Xfinity Series starts at the track. Harrison Burton returns to Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) for his second full season in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2021 behind the wheel of the DEX Imaging Toyota Supra. Coming off an impressive rookie season which saw Burton capture Sunoco Rookie of the Year honors and finish eighth in the championship driver standings, Burton will look to capture JGR’s third Xfinity Series Driver’s Championship under the leadership of veteran crew chief Jason Ratcliff this season. Daytona 500: Christopher Bell will make his second Daytona 500 start this Sunday, February 14th. Bell qualified 19th in 2020 for his first career Daytona 500 start. Bell teamed up with his fellow Toyota teammates throughout the race and under caution on lap 185 he was sitting second. Unfortunately, when racing resumed, he found himself without drafting help and got shuffled back in the field. While working his way back forward he sustained damage when a car spun in front of him, resulting in a 21st-place finish for Bell. (more…)

Martin Truex Jr. owns three top-five finishes and five top-10s in 31 career NASCAR Cup Series starts at Daytona International Speedway. In the series’ most recent race on the 2.5-mile superspeedway, Truex led 14 laps and ended up fourth.
