Brian Brown Delivers Emotional Street Stock May Meltdown Win For Car Owner Rob Bader Sunday At Riverhead Raceway

During the off season former Blunderbust driver Rob Bader wanted to return grassroots racing in 2021 and during the winter went out and got a Street Stock for competition at Riverhead Raceway. Among the goals Rob set was for the car to be a tribute to his late Uncle Jay Hulse former Charger driver. Then unexpected wrist surgery put Rob on injured list but undaunted he tabbed good friend Brian Brown of Riverhead to steer the car in Sunday’s May Meltdown event and in a storybook finish Brown delivered an emotional win for Bader and his family. John Beatty Jr. Tops Opening Night Modified Feature At Riverhead Raceway Saturday

The gates swung open Saturday evening for the 71st season of stock car racing at Riverhead Raceway and when the checker flag waved on the 50-lap Buzz Chew Chevrolet NASCAR Modified feature John Beatty Jr. of Merrick sat in the winner circle after surviving a late race restart with 11 laps remaining in the race to post his 9th career victory. A solid and talented field of 20 Buzz Chew Chevrolet NASCAR Modifieds signed in for the Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series opener. (more…)

Massive Field Turns Out for ThunderRoad Practice Day

Barre, VT — A huge field of cars filed through the pits for the Thunder Road Car Show and Practice Day on Saturday, May 1. When all was said and done, 119 drivers across 4 divisions took to the track in preparation for the Community Bank N.A. 150 on FloRacing this Sunday, May 2. The speeds were as big as the fields with racers storming out of the gates after a long, cold Vermont winter. (more…)

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Motor Speedway welcomed the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour to Stafford Speedway for its first of three visits of the 2021 season on Friday, April 30 for the NAPA Auto Parts Spring Sizzler. Patrick Emerling capitalized on a late race move that saw race leaders Ryan Preece and Ron Silk come together and spin right before rain hit Stafford Motor Speedway to inherit the lead and win the 49^th Annual NAPA Spring Sizzler, which was called with 130 of 150 laps complete. Defending NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion Justin Bonsignore of Holtsville will return to where it all began for him when the tour makes its first of three visits to Riverhead Raceway Saturday May 15th and with him bring a four race WMT win streak into the Miller Lite 200. The third week of May date is the earliest the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour has ever visited the eastern Long Island facility since it’s inception in 1985.
