The NASCAR Xfinity Series wrapped up the Round of 8 last weekend at Martinsville Speedway and will now head to Phoenix Raceway to crown a new NASCAR Xfinity Series champion. Four drivers – Austin Hill, A.J. Allmendinger, Cole Custer and Justin Allgaier – will vie for the title on Saturday, November 9 in the NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship Race at 7:30 p.m. ET on The CW, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Channel 90).
The NASCAR Xfinity Series Heads Back to the ‘Paperclip’ of Short Tracks
As the NASCAR Xfinity Series winds down the 2024 season, the drivers and teams will now be heading to Martinsville Speedway for the Playoffs’ penultimate race, the National Debt Relief 250, on Saturday, November 2 at 4 p.m. ET on the CW, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Channel 90).
This will be the 43rd NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Martinsville Speedway. The previous 42 races have produced 28 different race winners and 22 different pole winners. Only six races have been won from the pole or first starting position, but it’s been over 35 years since a driver was able to accomplish the feat – most recently by Jimmy Hensley in 1987.
Justin Allgaier, BRANDT Return to JRM in Multi-Year Renewal
MOORESVILLE, N.C. (Oct. 25, 2024) – As announced during Friday afternoon’s media availability session at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Justin Allgaier and cornerstone partner BRANDT Professional Agriculture are returning to JR Motorsports in a multi-year renewal that will run through the 2026 NASCAR Xfinity Series season. As the second-longest tenured-partner for JRM at ten years, BRANDT will assume the role of primary partner for Allgaier and the No.7 Chevrolet for 20 events during the 2025 and 2026 NXS seasons, as well as receive associate placement on the remaining races. NASCAR Xfinity Series Setting the Stage in South Beach: Homestead-Miami Speedway Up Next
Following the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series in a double-header, action-packed Saturday at Homestead-Miami Speedway, the NASCAR Xfinity Series sets its sights on the Credit One NASCAR AMEX Credit Card 300 on October 26 at 3:30 p.m. ET on the CW, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio – the second race in the Playoffs’ Round of 8.
The 1.5-mile South Florida track, Homestead-Miami Speedway, has hosted 30 NASCAR Xfinity Series races since the inaugural event in 1995, producing 23 different race winners and almost as many pole winners (21).
Unleashing the Xfinity Series Playoffs’ Round of 8 on Las Vegas
After wrapping up the NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs’ Round of 12 last weekend at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course and eliminating four drivers from the postseason – Shane van Gisbergen, Sheldon Creed, Riley Herbst and Parker Kligerman – it’s time to unleash the eight contenders that advanced on Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the Ambetter Health 302, this Saturday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. ET on the CW, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, the fourth event of the seven-race Playoffs and the first of the Round of 8.
Heading into this weekend at Las Vegas, JR Motorsport’s driver Justin Allgaier ranks first in the Playoff standings, up +18 points on the Championship 4 Round cutoff. In Allgaier’s tire tracks are Stewart-Haas Racing’s Cole Custer in second, up +11 points on the next round’s cut line, Richard Childress Racing’s Austin Hill in third, up +9 on the cutline and Joe Gibbs Racing’s Chandler Smith is fourth, up eight points on the cutoff.
NASCAR Xfinity Series Elimination Time: Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course Up Next
The stakes are high for the NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoff contenders as they head to the Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course for the Drive for the Cure 250 presented by BlueCross & BlueShield of North Carolina on Saturday, October 12 at 4 p.m. ET (The CW, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) – the first elimination race of the Playoff season.
This weekend’s race will be the seventh time the Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course has hosted a NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoff race (2018-2024). The Charlotte Road Course has occupied two spots on the postseason schedule – in 2018 and 2019, the Charlotte ROVAL hosted the second race in the Round of 12 and then from 2020 to 2024, the 2.28-mile road course hosted the Round of 12 elimination race (the third race in the Playoffs).

On a perfect fall afternoon at Toledo Speedway, Mexico City’s Andres Perez capped a historic year that culminated with his becoming the first foreign-born champion in ARCA Menards Series history. Most drivers dream of the opportunity to post a win at their hometown track and last weekend, Ryan Truex was able to make that dream a reality. It wasn’t just an ordinary win for the Mayetta, N.J. native – it was his first-ever in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
Truex came into the race strong, finding his way to the front on Lap 34. He swept both stages and ultimately led a career-high 124 of the 200 laps.
