Puleo, Gray, Chapman, Hammann, & Hydar Score Sept. 27 Weekly Racing Wins at Stafford; Tyler Chapman Clinches SK Light Track Championship

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted its penultimate Weekly Racing event of the 2024 season on Friday, Sept. 27. Taking down feature wins on the night were Jon Puleo in the SK Modified® feature, Adam Gray in the Late Model feature, Tyler Chapman in the SK Light feature, Rich Hammann in the Limited Late Model feature, and Travis Hydar in the Street Stock feature. Champan’s SK Light victory, his ninth of the season, enabled him to clinch the 2024 SK Light track championship.

In the 40-lap SK Modified® feature, Anthony Flannery led the field to green and he took the early lead but the field was only able to complete one lap before the caution flew for Ethan Durocher, who came to a stop on the frontstretch grass with damage to his right front suspension. (more…)

Outlaw Open Modified Dash for Cash Returns to Sunoco World Series Friday, October 11th

Naples, ME & Barre, VT — Back by popular demand, American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Pro All Stars Series (PASS) officials announced today that the Outlaw Open Modified Series will make it’s grand return to Thompson Speedway as part of the Friday night opener to the 62ndSunoco World Series on October 11th. The $5,000-to-win Dash for Cash will once again feature a $5,000 winner’s share with just a four-tire limit for their 50-lap sprint around the 0.625-mile oval!

With the addition of the Sunoco World Series Dash for Cash on Friday, all three days of the 62n Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing will feature Tour-type Modified competition. Following Friday’s 50-lap, $5,000-to-win sprint, Saturday includes the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series in their Constantine Paving & Sealing 75 before Sunday wraps up with the Sunoco World Series 150 presented by FloRacing for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour! D.A.V. Championship Weekend To Crown 2024 Seekonk Speedway Champions September 27-28

Pro Stock Final Four: Dylan Estrella, Bobby Pelland III, Vinnie Arrenegado, Mike Brightman

With 11 playoff points after the first two weeks, Dylan Estrella leads the Pro Stock Final Four. The Everett’s Auto Parts Racing driver of the No. 46 stormed to the front of the pack often throughout the season, visiting Victory Lane multiple times and always being a threat for the podium. Bobby Pelland III is another former Late Model champion looking to add a Pro Stock title to his resume. Pelland has multiple victories this season and always finds himself around the podium at the end of the night. After making the Final Four last year and coming up just short, Pelland looks to rebound and seal the deal this year. Vinnie Arrenegado is one driver who has put together a season filled with second-place finishes. To be exact, Arrenegado finished second SEVEN times. He will lock up the Rookie of the Year award in the Pro Stocks, but the former Late Model champion wants Pro Stock title gold.

And no one can count out Mike Brightman either. Another Final Four run for him will come down to the wire, with Brightman also looking to add to a previous Late Model Seekonk title. Brightman ended the regular season with his first victory of the season and seems ready to chase the crown. The Pro Stock championship event is 50 laps.

It all starts with Booth Bros/Hood Milk Bowl Qualifying Day on Saturday, October 5th with the once-a-year Time Trials for the Maplefield/Irving Late Models! Each driver will take on the highbanks for two laps at speed in a fight for the $1,000 Booth Bros/Hood Milk Bowl Pole Award with $500 going to the second-fastest driver to lock in Sunday’s front row! 2024 Track Champions Crowned Friday At Claremont

CLAREMONT, N.H. – Brian Robie dominated Friday’s Nights 75-lap Modified Racing Series main event at Claremont Motorsports Park, blasting to victory lane as he has many times in the past during his championship summers at the Thrasher Road speedplant.

And while Robie led all the way en route to victory in the Key Auto Group and O’Reilly Auto Parts main event, there were many other important victories scored on the busy September 20 conclusion of the oval’s 2024 Weekly Racing Series season. (more…)

Connor Hall Again Reigns Supreme to Capture Back-to-Back NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series National Championships

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (September 24, 2024) – The path to the title may have been different this year versus last, but at the end the results were the same, as Langley Speedway-based Connor Hall captured his second consecutive NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series championship.

A year after Hall became the first Langley driver to win the championship in the top division of the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series in the 74-year history of the track, he became the first to repeat. The feeling was just as sweet the second time around.

Championship Weekend To Close Out Riverhead Raceway Regular Season Saturday & Sunday

The 2024 Riverhead Raceway regular season concludes this weekend when Connie Partridge and Tom Gatz present the traditional Championship Weekend doubleheader. Seven 2024 NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series champions will be crowned Saturday evening September 28th, with an additional eight track champions to earn their titles Sunday afternoon September 29th. All that will remain in 2024 after this weekend is in the books will be the 8th annual Islip 300, a $10,000 to win Tour Type Modified event Saturday November 16th.

Feature winners on the night included Todd Owen in the SK Modified® feature, Adam Gray in the Late Model feature, Tyler Chapman in the SK Light feature, RJ Surdell in the Limited Late Model feature, and Tyler Trott in the Street Stock feature. As part of Spear Bro’s Kids Night, there were two kids big wheel races and they were won by 7 year old Jordan Dion of Canton and 5 year old Jack Webber of Longmeadow, MA. (more…)

Derek Griffith Charges to PASS Win at White Mountain

Derek Griffith charged to his second Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Model victory of 2024 on Saturday, passing Johnny Clark in the closing laps to win at White Mountain Motorsports Park.

After starting in the 14th position, Griffith fell back as far as 20th in the opening laps before beginning his march through the field. Griffith took the lead from Clark on lap 116 of the 150-lap Super Late Model feature, but Clark stayed within shouting distance the remainder of the way.
