The final day of the Trans Am Memorial Day Classic was a testament to the unpredictable nature of racing and the resilience of its fans and participants. Heavy rain greeted the day and later bid it farewell, but in between, the sun broke through just in time for the 100-mile Trans Am TA/XGT/SGT/GT race, providing perfect conditions for a dramatic and thrilling event. After a weekend of rainy on again, off again weather that affected both the Indy 600 and the Coca Cola 600 as well as Kyle Larson attempting the entire 1100 miles, the weekend of racing was shattered by the announcement that Stewart-Haas racing was shutting its doors at the end of the 2024 season.

After a week off to regroup, the NASCAR Xfinity Series will be heading back to action at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the BetMGM 300 at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday, May 25 on FOX, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).
There have been 78 NASCAR Xfinity Series races at Charlotte Motor Speedway dating back to the inaugural event on May 29, 1982, which was won by Harry Grant.
