With big race events happening this past weekend across the state, Wiscasset Speedway was still able to draw in a large crowd of both fans and drivers on Saturday for another action-packed Group 1 race program.
Over 2,000 fans packed the Wiscasset Speedway grounds on Saturday evening for one of the biggest races of the summer: the $1,500-to-win Ward and Sons Builders Super Street 100.

After another unfortunate rainout last week, Wiscasset Speedway finally saw some clear skies on Saturday, allowing them to host a full Group 1 racing program. Featured on the day’s schedule were the Gosline Insurance Group Super Streets, Davis Erector Group 207 Crate Modifieds, Brackett’s Market 4-Cylinder Pros, Kennebec Equipment Rental Thunder 4 Minis and one of the biggest Pro Stock races of the year, the $3,000-to-win BIW Shipbuilders 100.

PHOENIZ, Ariz., (September 28, 2024) – The season finale for the Fanatec GT World Challenge America concludes next week at Indianapolis Motor Speedway with an eight-hour endurance racing event, and BMW works driver Nick Yelloly will join full-season drivers Elias Sabo and Andy Lee in the No. 8 Flying Lizard Motorsports BMW M4 GT3.

Nick Sanchez will drive the #48 Big Machine Vodka SPIKED Coolers Chevrolet in the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series as announced today by Scott Borchetta, CEO/Owner of Big Machine Racing. The team also announced Gainbridge®, a Group 1001 company, as an associate sponsor on the #48 entry.
Sanchez, 23, of Miami, Florida joins Big Machine Racing from the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series where he has won twice this season, driving the No. 2 Gainbridge Chevy Silverado with Rev Racing.
