STAMFORD, Conn. – July 18, 2024 – NBC Sports’ big motorsports weekend features the return of the NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series to the oval at iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) in Indianapolis, Ind., on NBC and USA Network, and a Peacock exclusive INDYCAR race from the Streets of Toronto on NBC and Peacock, as well as the Pro Motocross Championship from Washougal, Wash., on NBC and Peacock.

Long considered one of the ‘Crown Jewel’ events of the NASCAR Cup Series schedule, and after a three year hiatus on the road course, the NASCAR Cup Series returns to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway rectangular-shaped oval for the famed Brickyard 400 Presented by PPG on Sunday, July 21 at 2:30 p.m. ET on NBC, IMS Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

Late Pit Strategy Pays Off For John Beatty Jr With $9,455 Victory In Oval Speed Unlimited Bubba 150
As the laps clicked off Saturday in the 5th annual Oval Speed Unlimited 150 NASCAR Modified event at Riverhead Raceway, John Beatty wondered if he and his team’s strategy to pit late in the race would leave them the only car not to pit for a change tire. Those fears were quelled when a caution flag flew with 28-laps left allowing Beatty of Merrick to pit for his new right rear tire. That, with some well-placed late cautions put John Beatty in position to win his second race in three weeks at Riverhead Raceway, earning $9.455 including lap money.

Ma Nature smiled on Grandview Speedway Saturday night and allowed a Mom’s Night NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series tripleheader to be completed with Duane Howard battling with Jesse Leiby in the T.P. Trailers 358 NASCAR 30-lap Modified feature beginning on the 15th lap. The veteran campaigner tried to dive underneath the rookie and later attempted the outside trek, but each attempt failed. Waterbury, VT and Naples, ME — American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Pro All Stars Series (PASS) have released the entry forms for the next two Outlaw Open Modified Series events at Connecticut’s Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park. The Nutmeg State 75 on Wednesday, June 16 and the Spirit of 76 on Wednesday, July 7 are part of a six-division card for the track’s 82nd summer of racing.

Justin Bonsignore Completes Tire Test at Richmond Raceway
RICHMOND, Va. — Justin Bonsignore spent Tuesday morning and early afternoon taking laps around Richmond Raceway in Virginia behind the wheel of his No. 51 Phoenix Communications, NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour ride for Kenneth Massa Motorsports. As part of a tire test, Bonsignore took laps in preparation for the Virginia Is For Racing Lovers 150, which is set for Friday, September 10. The race will mark the return to the .750-mile oval for the Whelen Modified Tour for the first time since 2002.
